1. Poor pathetic Israel always wanting to dance
Al   (03.11.14)
at the dance while always being rejected. I guess you all don't remember the scene from Saturday Night Fever. Stop the begging and get on with nation building and ensuring the security of the nation. Stop pandering to the Arabs and pining for their acceptance. They have to know in no uncertain terms that any violence will be crushed with no mercy. They have one of two options, they can live among the Jews in peace or they will be vanquished. The longer you coddle the enemy, the longer the enemy will try to destroy you. They are an enemy. They have proven time and time again that they do not seek peace with you in the least.
2. End of talks end of pals
BUILD BABY BUILD   (03.11.14)
there will never be a state of palestine within Israel's borders. Thank G-d Almighty! Jordan calls the pals back home. KEEP BUILDING!!!
3. Who are supporters of Fatah (and PA, PLO)?
Alexander Scheiner ,   Israel   (03.11.14)
Its first of all the "Jews for Piss", then Rabies for Human Rights, RHR.CO.IL, Btselem and last but not least, NIF.ORG. They are supporters of Palestinian terror gangs, ideologically and politically. Israeli citizens, outlaw these NGOs and its supporters. rememberamalek.blogspot
4. Farcical
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (03.11.14)
Just step aside and consider Israel by its very majority and Jewish Right of Return is de facto a Jewish State Palestine is by its very majority and Palestinian Right of Return is defacto a Palestinian State So why do we need a formal recognition of this terminology? If by agreement Israel ceases to call itself a Jewish State then Palestinians will have to cease calling itself a Palestinian State Is that not ridiculous? In any case in the Subtext of any agreement Negotiations could include reference to Jewish and Palestinian Statehood and what it means but it should no way be so central and pivotal an issue
5. "... the issue was still up for negotiation."
Devorah   (03.11.14)
Israel is or is not a Jewish nation according to who? According to Kerry? According to Kerry's bogus framework? According to Kerry's bogus negotiations? Like his boss, he brings destruction, threats and confusion wherever he goes. Every good thing he touches turns to sewage. Kerry is a curse and must be kept out of Israel.
6. Okay, whatever
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.11.14)
Time to annex Judea and Samaria and repatriate all those illegal Arab squatters to Jordan, country of their citizenship. But before we do that, pick up all the security prisoners (i.e., terrorist scum) that were freed, and put their sorry asses back in prison. Sorry -- a deal is a deal. Israel held up its end; the "Palestinians" did not. I think we've been played long enough. We release hundreds upon hundreds of really vile individuals, while Abbas pretends to negotiate in good faith. Not this time.
7. Bravo abbas
adam adam ,   earth planet   (03.11.14)
abbas gave the answer about the jewish state and ask israel to change its name by UN not by palestinians.
8. abu mazen Never Misses An Opportunity
(03.11.14)
Too miss an opportunity! Just who speaks for arab/bedouins AKA pali's??? Just how long has it been Since fatah Has Held Democratic Elections??? Does abu mazen Know Possession Is 9/10's of the LAW?
9. these are not peace negotiations they are dictattions
zionist forever   (03.11.14)
No recognition of Israel as a Jewish state Lack of sufficient security through IDF troops in the Jordan Valley. They get Jerusalem & the Old City, Abbas even seems to want the Kotel & Jewish Quarter these days backed by promises Jews cam pray there freely. No settlements Right of return permitted certainly for hundreds of thousands of arabs. If this is supposed to be a negotiated solution whats in this whole facade for us, Abbas has not compromised on a single issue, the man is even more hardline than Arafat these days.
10. Call it what you want,Israel won't allow Pal right of return
Sam ,   Canada   (03.11.14)
If Palestinians think that by not calling Israel a Jewish state Palestinians will get to choose to come to Israel they are living in dream land. Israel will not allow a right of return. Period. It may allow some Palestinians into Israel on humanitarian grounds. Israel will protect its Jewish culture and no amount of Palestinian manipulations will change that. If Palestinians prefer waiting for Israel to be destroyed they will have a long, long wait.
11. Elemental Justice
Lynx ,   Palestine   (03.11.14)
"It is ... undeniable that no settlement can be just and complete if recognition is not accorded to the right of the Arab refugee to return to the home from which he has been dislodged by the hazards and strategy of the armed conflict between Arabs and Jews in Palestine. The majority of these refugees have come from territory which ... was to be included in the Jewish State. The exodus of Palestinian Arabs resulted from panic created by fighting in their communities, by rumours concerning real or alleged acts of terrorism, or expulsion. It would be an offence against the principles of elemental justice if these innocent victims of the conflict were denied the right to return to their homes while Jewish immigrants flow into Palestine, and, indeed, at least offer the threat of permanent replacement of the Arab refugees who have been rooted in the land for centuries." Count Bernadotte...1947 quote. He was assassinate in cold blood by Yitzhak Shamir and other terrorists.
12. I don't understand why does Israel
SAM ,   ME   (03.11.14)
want to get recognition as a Jewish state??? the PLO already recognizes Israel is that enough? Its like asking Israel to recognize Israel as an Islamic state .... very weird. Comparing Palestinian to Jewish is not accurate as Palestinian is a nationality while Jewish is a religion.
13. Secret Relationship Between Nazism and Zionism
GS ,   Germany   (03.11.14)
"Secret Relationship Between Nazism and Zionism" by Mahmoud Abbas. Moscow 1982/ Jordan 1984 (in arabic). That's the one you negotiate with.
14. Immediate repatriation of all Jordanian citizens
A ,   Belgium   (03.11.14)
illegally squatting in Judea and Samaria to their homeland(s) east of the Jordan River will effectively anwser the question of Israel being a Jewish state or not.
15. Absurdity
Guido ,   Milano Italy   (03.11.14)
'We will never recognise a jewish state'. Clear and simple. So with whom they want to deal, a non existing entity? I am not a jurist, I am just a small simple stupid guy, and my question is surely as simple and stupid as my personality: What value would any eventual agreement signed with a ghost entity have? Another simple stupid question: what gain will ever come to a non existing population, 'NEVER' to be recognised as a reality? Nothing for nothing, it's better to be a FREE nothing. An arabic saying comes to my mind: "Sellef u ala'ab m'aa, sha terbah men woorah?" (simple stupid translation: 'borrow to him - give him credit - and go on playing with him, what benefit could you get back?'). Sorry, I repeat, I am a simple and stupid guy.
16. The World According to Ketchup
Robert ,   New Jersey, USA   (03.11.14)
No coincidence ketchup is red. Kerry is ready to allow the Arabs to define Israel's nationhood? For his Nobel Peace Prize, this traitor would negotiate away the name of the USA. Israel, don't be a sucker for the egos of this megalomaniac puppet and his Muslim-loving president!
17. Our sacred Right of Return
Lynx ,   Palestine   (03.11.14)
Too many Israelis are of the opinion that Palestinian refugees "deserve their fate" for allegedly offering support to the Arab armies during the war of 1948. In fact, my own ancestors had to escape the Northern Galilee due to a very simple reason, they were on the verge of dying of thirst. Forced between dying of thirst, or temporary exile, which would you choose if you had children?
18. #6 Sarah B
GS ,   Germany   (03.11.14)
"... time to annex Judea and Samaria ... " Yes. - A one-state plan is the only solution for the Jewish State of Israel.
19. Yes, #17, Sacred Right of Return
Robert ,   New Jersey, USA   (03.11.14)
...the sacred right of Jews to return to their sacred biblical homeland. If your ancestors were dying of thirst, perhaps your bone to pick is with the administrators ruling their land. Do the exiled Jews of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt have a sacred right of return? Why should you be any different?
20. #17 arabs Made Your Bed
(03.11.14)
Now Sleep in it!!! Did any of your relatives Stand Up For Innocent Unarmed Jews Being Attacked and Murdered by 5 arab armies? Please respond!
21. # 17 Lynk: nobody ist stopping you
(03.11.14)
to return to Sudan, Syria, Caucasus, Turkey or Iran. Wherever you are from.
22. SAM , ME #12- Simple answer
Arnold-Canada ,   Montreal   (03.11.14)
There are at least 22 Islamic countries which CALL THEMSELVES Islamic countries. Israel wants to be called a Jewish country.
23. 17 Lynx. Brainwashed
robert ,   antwerp belgium   (03.11.14)
Your ancestors most likely had been brainwashed to believe that if they went to the Israelis for water, they would get killed (the men), raped (the women), sold into slavery (the children) and would certainly not receive water. Your ancestors believed the propaganda. Too bad because we , Jews , are not murderers or rapers. We are a peacefull people
24. recognition
tonio ,   Berlin, Germany   (03.11.14)
@SAM: Recognition as a Jewish state: Because otherwise Palestinians can insist on their "right of return" to Israel, which would mean the end of Israel or at least the end of Israel as a democratic state. Jewish is not just a religion. It also a nationality, but let Jews decide what they feel like or want to be
25. #17
koose E Mack ,   NY USA   (03.11.14)
All is not fair In love and war.... Israel won a war of survival against many hostile countries; all of which wanted to annihilate the Jews. At least your parents survived...... Most of the Arabs that remained live a good life in Israel as compared with life in the surrounding countries.
26. "Jewish State" with 6M Jews, 9M Arabs, not going to happen
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.11.14)
27. #17
tonio ,   Berlin, Germany   (03.11.14)
Lynx, you write "forced between dying of thirst, or temporary exile". And you ask what I would do with my family? Exactly what you and the vast majority of Arab population did: Leaving for TEMPORARY exile. This is what your ancestors and the vast majority assumed; that it will be temporary, because nobody, besides Jews, believed that they would win the war of 1948. Even if there were cases of forcing Arabs to go to exile - nobody forced them to a temporary one...
