1. Neither Israel
(03.14.14)
"Neither Israel or Egypt is interested in a total collapse of Hamas at present..." which means those two countries are happy to make life in Gaza as wretched as possible as long as doing so serves their own interests. How noble of them. Those with political and military power wield oppression; those without political and military power wield terrorism. Different weapons, same ruthless people.
2. Pet Boy
Avi   (03.14.14)
"...there's no sign of relief from a blockade enforced not only by Israel but also by a suddenly hostile Egypt." Yes, Al Sissy is Israel's pet boy, he cost them millions in US tax $ over the last 30 years, but now he is starting to pay off for the Zionists. Gaza is now completely surrounded, just like the concentration camps of 70 years ago, and now it is going to get ugly. That is why it is so important to boycott Israel, divest any investments we may have, and impose sanctions on Israel's economy--especially in the occupied territory.
3. Gaza Economy
Rick S. ,   USA   (03.14.14)
Maybe if the money that Gaza rakes in from Europe and other idiots were to be spent on health care, education, infrastructure, the economy, jobs, etc., instead of rockets, terror, tunnels, etc., just maybe then their economy would turn around.
4. Gaza is the responsibility of Hamas. Good job.

Sure, it's all about blaming Israel. Easy for ignoramuses like you two (#1 anonymous and #2 Avi) to write given that thinking about a situation might strain your enfeebled minds. No, say naught about a decade of rockets launched at civilian areas of Israel, twenty-nine deaths and multiple injuries as well as the panic they cause to Israeli children. After all, it's only Jews and, as you and the world know, they don't count. And love the morality of Hamas and associates, the depravity of throwing their own opposition off of rooftops in order to corner the market on Gaza. Or the mayhem caused by these |"heros" in the Sinai after which Egypt has largely had enough. And don't forget to blame Israel for allowing their stubborn enemies to have light and food and construction materials, much of which goes into the production of terrorist tunnels. No #s 1 and 2, blame Israel for all the ills in the Mideast. Without Israel there would be no mayhem in Gaza, no executions by slow strangulation in Iran, no honour killings in the Westbank and no civil war in Syria. As written, it's easy for ignoramuses to reduce all historical and current blame and all associated problems on one factor, the eternal Jew.

It's difficult to feel any pity or sympathy towards Hamas. They reaped what they have sowed. Are they being manipulated by Egypt and Israel? Of course. It's sad that the population is suffering. Where's the support from their fellow Arab "brothers" who talk but never deliver. It has to be Israel's fault.
