When we played outside with our friends, every other week one of them would have his legs blown off by the landmines your plans blanketed our fields with. But that's not immoral. THAT was against terrorists.

Say thank you to your Syrian friends who started the Lebanese civil war, killed any chance of Lebanese democracy and peace with Israel, and of course placed those land mines you are crying about. Also thank your PLO friends who performed the worst atrocities (remember Damour?). The fact is that Israel's part in making Lebanon unlivable was minor, short-lived and all thanks to Assad who did not let the Lebanese government eliminate PLO.

As to morality -- contemplate this: What is immoral is that scurrilous terrorists use civilians as human shields. The State of Israel has an affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens against terrorist acts. A failure to do so would be immoral. Terrorists are a priori immoral; not only do they wish to inspire fear and kill others, they seem not to care about endangering their own population. It does not get much more immoral than that. Israel's moral obligation to end terrorist attacks on its soil is paramount. We are not to blame if terrorists surround themselves with civilians. That does not change Israel's moral obligation to its citizens. Not to bomb the terrorists would be immoral.
