only the deluded can think that the shia terror regime will ever give up its nuclear weapons program.
2. Obama screw up
Ellen ,   Netanya/NYC   (03.16.14)
Let's see, Van Diepen, a State Department Offician states, "obviously if the negotiations succeed then there should therefore be a corresponding decrease in Iranian proliferation activity." The obvious is then that Obama has once again, "negotiated" a paper tiger! His plans are worthless. The State Department is supposed to be the experts he depends on, but obviously he is threatened by anyone or anything that contradicts his game plan. Knowledge only gets in the way of his politics! Man is a joke of a president. ( and HE doesn't deserve a capital/p?

7. Why Shouldn't They?
Marko ,   Lviv, Ukraine   (03.16.14)
The U.S., U.K., and Russia all "GUARANTEED" Ukraine's territorial borders in 1994 if Ukraine agreed to give all their nuclear arsenal to Russia for decommissioning. Ukraine complied. This month Russia reneged, the U.S. is still 'considering' sanctions, and the U.K has all but been bought by Russian oligarchs over the past 6 years, so they are saying they will do nothing. Therefore, the message to Iran, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle East countries is the same as to Ukraine - ramp up on developing nuclear weapons, because the super powers aren't going to keep their word. Ukraine, by the way, can have nuclear weapons in 3-6 months. . . then what?

Let Prince Bandar Bush go to Mr. Kerry and set the terms for his underling including Obamba. If you do not get rid of the Iranian threat to our corrupt Kingdom then we will re neg on our petro dollar agreement with the US. Now, Mr. Kerry, you have allot on your plate. Leave Israel alone, go look for adventures in Ukraine and in Iran. Your NWO Bilderberg attempts to suck us into war have failed. Go do the bidding of your Saudi handlers. Protect the Kingdom for the sake of the petrodollar. Go Mr. Kerry... You have been summoned.

PersianCAT   (03.16.14)
Iran's open and legal LEU program must go on. Iran has the right to develop its defensive/offensive capabilities under constant military threat from Israel/US. Why all the hoopla?!
16. BIBI knows this
sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (03.16.14)
and does nothing. How can BIBI let this happen. I really believe he is afraid to fight. He lets weak ars terrorist launch missiles at his cities and does 'almost' nothing. He cries about Iran daily and has done nothing except "beg" the US to threaten Iran with a "credible" military strike instead of protecting his people. He needs to MAN-UP.
17. US Congress needs to tighten controls, including on EU firms

18. Iran's Nuclear Program
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (03.16.14)
The "historic achievement" that supposedly brought the Iranian nuclear weapon program to a halt is a big joke. Does it ban further nuclear weapon testing in North Korea? No? What does that have to do with it? Iran and North Korea have been collaborating on their nuclear and missile programs for years. Any agreement that does not effectively deal with that fact is useless. Obama declared that Iran will not be permitted to acquire nuclear weapons, but, iin view of the collaboration, the weapon tested in North Korea can be considered to be an Iranian weapon, as well as a North Korean weapon. Why, then, did the US proceed with the negotiations for an agreement? To give Obama a basis for claiming that he had done something to block Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons. What did Iran get? Reduced sanctions, and readily available cash. What does the agreement with Iran actually say? Iran knows, but we don't, because Obama has declared the Agreement is secret, and therefore, cannot be released to the public. But, Iran inows what the agreement says. Get that? The US signed an agreement with Iran, and iran knows what it says, but the US citizenry doesn't know, because it is secret. And, that is OK with the US media, and the US Congress, and certainly, with Iran.

20. IRAN IS STILL AROUND BECAUSE.....#5
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (03.16.14)
It is only in your day-dreams is where you see 'glowing cinder' whilst the reality is otherwise. So far as is procurment of needed items for its missiles and related defense needs, the article itself suggests that there is no contravention to the deal signed with 5 + 1 and as such this article is of no consequence but as usually noted, appears few weeks or days before Iran continues its dicussion with 5+1.

A Work Place Accident and fordow Went BOOM???
22. #6 - Israel has been telling the US that Iran is the problem
William ,   Israel   (03.17.14)
well before the 2nd Gulf War. The US ignored this and went into Iraq anyway. By doing so they removed an obstacle in front of Iran's regional expansion.
23. #15 - Iran's program is neither legal nor open
William ,   Israel   (03.17.14)
and Western powers and IAEA continue to state as much, as in this article, too. But you're right, nothing is settled until everything is settled. Let's hope the atomic dust of Iran's nuke program settles over the neighborhoods of Tehran sooner than later.
24. #7 - I agree with you 100%
William ,   Israel   (03.17.14)
I don't agree that Iran should be allowed to get nukes, especially with their history of aiding terrorism around the world. But I do agree that the world powers have shown themselves to be untrustworthy and inept by reneging on their deal to protect the borders of Ukraine. Add this to the ineptness the world powers have shown in Africa, Middle East, and towards the imperialistic expansions of China, Russia, and Iran. Thousands die all over the world and only when money is involved do any Western nations care and/or act. It's sad and extremely shaming.
25. #17 - the US Congress cannot to anything
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (03.17.14)
First of all, congress is deadlocked and impotent. Then there is the "slight" problem in that US laws only apply in the USA. To top it all off, third party sanctions (trying to tell European firms what to do) are at a minimum worthless or could lead to trade wars where US companies are banned from doing business inmost countries around the globe. The US government has no way to make other nations comply, except brute force which will just get lots of Americans killed, and almost ZERO Americans want any more wars.
26. To: No. 25
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.17.14)
What do you think would happen if the United States were to ban certain companies from operating in the United States? What would happen if the United States were to remove "most favored nation" trade status from the member states of the European Union? What would happen if the United States were to call in the outstanding loans made to nations who refuse to stop dealing with Iran -- some $22 trillion worth? What if the United States were to impound the assets of all companies and countries that continue to trade with Iran? Congress can do all that, and more. Not such a "slight" problem for scofflaw countries then, eh?
27. #26 - More delusion form Sarah . . .
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (03.17.14)
The basic truth is congress can not do anything because it is so divided and even if a miracle happened and congress actually did something, the president would veto it. If the US tried to ban non-US companies, Google, GE, HP and a whole host of other US companies would have to cease operation outside the US, for which they would be extremely angry at congress. The same goes for any attempt to impound European or Asian funds, Do you have any idea how much money US companies are hiding off shore? The REALITY is the US has no actual power to tell the world what to do and most countries will deeply resent it if the US tries. Notice that Russia is ignoring the US threats. The US has ruled out any more war and the global economy is no longer controlled by the US, so the US is impotent. Note that this is NOT an Obama thing, but a reality that ALL empires die over time.
