1. So,if he stays in talks+advances nothing, what's the point?
Sam ,   Canada   (03.18.14)
If Israel sees that talks are going nowhere then what's the point of releasing prisoners who will participate in the violence that is bound to come?
2. When AbuAss loses Tzipora, there is no BDS, ICC, UNSC, NATO
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.18.14)
3. two small problems...
tom ,   toronto, canada   (03.18.14)
first, the "chief negotiator" is none too bright if she paints herself into a corner: continued negotiations are a benefit to both sides, and not a "palestinian concession", so release of convicted terrorist murderers should not be conditional on abbas agreeing to talk. that isn't a valid quid pro quo, but she has now committed to it. and the very phrasing of "occupied west bank, gaza, and east jerusalem" is prejudicial to the talks, which are actually about "disputed territories", illegally occupied by the arabs in 1948, and falsely claimed by palestinian terrorist groups.
4. for once, Livni makes a rational comment
CJK   (03.18.14)
the arab palestinians cannot have their convicted mass murderers released for a big nothing. the arab palestinians should also realise that obama can do precious little to force the sovereign jewish state of israel to give in to the irrational demands put forth by them.
5. time to put an end to this charade no israeli-arabs release
ralph   (03.18.14)
if we must release them they must sign that accept as condition permanent exile. no rights at all in israel. must give up everything. and acknowledge if caught in terrorist act will receive death penalty.
6. No problema
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.18.14)
"Another stumbling block, the official said, is a Palestinian demand that Israeli Arabs convicted of deadly attacks on Jews be included among those due to go free this month." If the "Palestine" Authority wants to put itself in charge of Israeli Arabs, fine. We'll send them all Israeli Arabs -- whether they wish to go or not. Then as soon as they finish unpacking in Ramallah, they can pack up again for the one-way trip to Jordan. Works for me.
7. Deal...talks, no ICC, for 9 months in exchange for prisoners
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.18.14)
But...no one will be surprised when Israel reneges on deal, again, making lame excuses, and additional demands.
8. Releasing murderers
Yossi ,   Israel   (03.18.14)
My country is the only one in the world that releases murderers to a terrorist organization that clearly doesn't want any peace and plays for time. My country suppose to be a shining example of a great system of justice and fairness. My country suppose to respect human lives and respect the families of those who lost their lives to those murderers. And yet, we release killers, denigrate lost lives of heroes, and insult their families in the name of a big farce called "peace". There is no justice, nor fairness in my country. People wake up and do something!
9. No she does not #4
Israeli 2   (03.18.14)
She is saying this grudgingly hoping to continue the "giving away of Israel piece by piece process". She is upset to discover how wrong she always had been about her partners i9n peace.
10. Immoral Government.
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (03.18.14)
Sad to say, but the current Government, by fact of their earlier releases of Arab murderers, has lost all its credibility and sense of Jewish morality. That they should even consider giving these evil people their freedom, people who murdered and terrorized Jews and other people, is beyond insane. I repeat, insane. Israel has received nothing, and this, too, I repeat, nothing, in return. Those with eyes in their heads saw what supreme idiocy it would be to appease the Arabs and the Americans and receive, nothing, I repeat, nothing, in return. We are losing.
11. No Deal...no talks, no ICC, no 9 months releasing terrorists
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.18.14)
12. Peres and the "Peace Partner"
Joe ,   Israel   (03.18.14)
It never fails to amaze me how Shimon Peres refuses to admit that he made a major mistake and betrayed (that's correct - betrayed)Israel in the Oslo Accords. The only thing that Israel got for signing those accords was more terrorism and more direct attacks against its citizens. Israel is the only sovereign country in the world that has given in to stupidity and traded tangible land for an intangible non existing "Peace." I keep asking the same question - but receive no answer: How can you make peace with someone that does not want to make peace with you. It's like saying "listen to the sound of one hand clapping." It just does not exist.
13. Fire Livni and stop freeing murderers!
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.18.14)
Israeli voters overwhelmingly rejected Livni. As did LIkud and Kadima. She has done nothing but harm to Israel in her public life. Bibi should fire Livni immediately. She is not fit to represent Israel in any capacity. As for freeing terrorist murderes; it is to disgusting for words. Blatant criminal negligence.
14. #7 Show some support for your vile flatulence, Benazsi
A ,   Belgium   (03.18.14)
Israel has released murderers, terrorists, the lowest scum of humanity, and has only asked for recognition as a Jewish state. Have the bedpan fumes so addled your brain that even you, National Socialist Workers Party wannabee, can't see this? Who is making the demands and excuses...your pathetic "friends", the "palestinians", that's who! . And in the end they will get exactly what you have between your ears....NOTHING!
15. #12 Shimon Peres will also never admit that due to
A ,   Belgium   (03.18.14)
the fact that never having accomplished his dream of being the ELECTED PM, which only added to his blind jealousy of his rival Itshaak Rabin, there is more to Peres' involvement in Rabins' murder than he would ever care to talk about. The great Israeli left coverup.
16. #14, Reneged on Oslo...Israel not to build "new settlements"
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.19.14)
