Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (03.19.14)
That'll show us. I'm sure that will make us learn our lesson.
2. Luck. Hope. Prayer.
Gideon Reader   (03.19.14)
...NOT a plan, unless Darwin is your Rebbe.
3. Remove their voting rights
Dan   (03.19.14)
It was always clear the Haredim are anti-democratic and anti-Israel, though of course they demand its money and the lives of its soldiers. They must do what citizens do - work, pay tax, enlist - or they can give up their voting rights.
4. Beat the Gas Chambers and the Bullets
Zechariah   (03.19.14)
They Beat the Gas Chambers and the Bullets because of the Projewish Anti Nazi Forces and Zionism would have Led to multitudes Surviving if The Haredim Flooded Eretz Yisroel from1919 .
5. Even if we studied 24 hrs a day,we would not be any more
Moshe ,   Usa   (03.19.14)
observant, nor would we be any more morally & ethically upright. Hereidi have an obligation to donate some of their efforts to the defense of Israel. Israel needs their help. Why won't they help fellow Jews ?
6. I don't understand what's the big deal...
robert ,   Antwerpen (2018)   (03.19.14)
for the haredim. if they go to the recruitment office when called with a proof they are full time yeshiva students, they can defer military or civil duty till the age of 26 when almost all would be married with children . In that case I doubt they would still be called. So what's all the fuss about?
7. Why only 10 days
Mordechai   (03.19.14)
After the 10 days are up he should be released by MP's to be take to his base. If he refuses keep him in jail for 3 years.
8. 1.000 only came together.
GS ,   Germany   (03.19.14)
That's nothing. I wouldn't blame all Haredim for what this poor little crowd said, sang or did. And: Who knows? Probably not all sang that song. - Anyhow: High time for Haredim to identify Amalek within their own rows.
9. Not dodging - resisting
Aaron Kuperman ,   Baltimore   (03.20.14)
A dodger fakes an illness or claims to be exempt on some other ground that has no basis in fact. The yeshiva in question is openly and notoriously refusing to sign up. They are opposed to conscription, and to the IDF, and the State of Israel. They are probably conscientious objectors , they may be rebels and traitors but they aren't "dodging" anything.
10. "We beat Pharaoh", Ceasar, Haman, Fuher, Stalin, and Hubris
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.20.14)
Not.
11. Beat Pharoah?
Tzimmes ,   Tel Aviv   (03.20.14)
They couldn't beat an egg. The audacity of comparing themselves to the Hebrews that left Egypt in the Exodus. These people worked for their food doing physical labour. Under Moses ,Aaron and Joshua they fought like tigers to enter Canaan " the promised land and rebuilt a country. They didn't sit in Yeshivot wasting away while other Jews supported their idleness travelling the world on someone elses "Cheshbon" and Shnorrering to support a parasitic lifestyle.
12. Time to deport the parasites
Haim   (03.20.14)
Start by cutting off their benefits and funding to their yeshivot.
13. #5
Steve   (03.20.14)
The simple truth is that despite attempts by some to attach some great Jewish morality to these cultists they are in fact indifferent to the plight of Jews anywhere. If there was another Shoa you can bet that they would try to make a deal with those who would do great harm to Jews to save their collective behind. They serve their own needs and the fact that they have used Torah as a vehicle for their perversion does not make them any more Jewish than other gentiles. They do not possess the core values which have been attributed to Jews throughout the ages. Their actions violate the tenets of any functional and coherent society. These individuals only become more dangerous when the light of day is shone upon them.
14. #1 is right on
Howard ,   Seattle USA   (03.20.14)
If they don't want to serve their country and hate their government( as well as their fellow Jews) they should just leave.,I am sure that there are more then a few western countries that will allow them to continue to live like the parasites that they are.Good riddance.
15. It says it all
Oovda   (03.20.14)
that they couldn't even bother to say T'hilim for our recently wounded soldiers. That says it all. We are still saying Thillim especially for the most seriously wounded one. Could someone explain to me why they don't report to the bakum, enlistment office, in their area, as our sons and grandsons have to, even while studying in yeshiva and pre army military academies? Are they maybe holier? Methinks not, definitely not. Far far from it. Our focused and serious sons and grandsons are of noble righteous character. These youngsters should learn from them.
16. No. 14 Howard
NYC Girl   (03.20.14)
While I can't speak for other Western countries, I know that, here in New York, the Hasidim hold jobs and pay taxes. In fact, it's probably only in Israel where these religious fanatics get away with living off the State.....which is one of the reasons why so many Israelis detest them.
17. 11 - Haredim didn't even exist until 1830 CE
