1. Rubbish
D ,   centre   (03.27.14)
Rubbish, they wont come on stage before 9,30 10, you all have time....stop trying to run the wider world with your ancient, unrealistic rules. They probably have a schedule too. Let it be.
2. Question #2
Danny   (03.27.14)
Who'd waste money on this obnoxious concert? Why kind of people are fans of such rubbish?
3. Question #1
Danny   (03.27.14)
Why would a "Jewish State" or one who's out for the world to recognize it as such deliberately desecrate the Jewish Holiday? Would a Christian do that to their Holiday? Would a Muslim do that to their Holiday?
4. danny...
D ,   c   (03.27.14)
Your reaction is typical of someone who wants to force their ways on others. If you dont like the music then what are you even bothering with this article atall? And to all you extremists...jews christians and muslims ....you are all the same anyway. So live in our own dogmatic world and leave free thinking normal people be.
5. Apparently, hotels in the area
Koev aval pachot   (03.27.14)
are offering discounts to observant Jews, so that they can be in Tel Aviv. We did this once in Caesaria, in order to attend a Poliker Performance. The Shabbat at the hotel was enjoyable. The show was of course unforgettable For Poliker, we would do it again. But not for the Stones. Different strokes for different folks. The Knesset man should stay in Tel Aviv for the Chag. He'd get a huge discount no doubt, added to the offered discount......they could walk there, as can the observant tourists from overseas, who keep two days Chag May all our problems be as serious as this one :)
6. Its the same for Israeli football
Andi ,   Israel   (03.27.14)
Israeli football (soccer) loses millions of shekels each season by playing most matches on Shabbat when religious fans won't go. I don't understand the point. It makes no economical sense.
7. #3Danny--wrong assumption about "Christians"
David N. ,   Haifa, ISRAEL   (03.27.14)
Danny you be unaware that a Christian is not the same thing as a western Gentile. A Biblical Christian has few holy days, though you might be thinking of the Roman Catholic holy days like the Christ- Mass and Easter, neither of which are actually Christian celebrations. As for western Gentiles thought of as nominal Christians, they "desecrate" both the Catholic Holy Days and the Biblical Sabbath with commercial and entertainment activities all the time. No, the Rolling Stones are not particularly suitable examples for the Children of Israel, or any Gentile children either. That the concert was scheduled on one of Israel's holy days is incredible. What was the point? Ok, we all have our brand of dogma, including the highly evangelical secularists who want the standards of Israel to be theirs. And Torah Jews want Torah standards. We know that oil and water don't mix, BUT, this is only Jewish country in the world, and i wish the secularists who prefer Euroamerican standards would emigrate and leave Israel to those who care about Torah standards. The Rolling Stones don't mesh well with Torah values, either, so I am surprised at any Dati'im longing to see this concert. Into rasty, hedonistic, drug-taking Englishmen as entertainment? Nu?

Are you nuts or what, Christmas is the biggest day for basketball in the states, thanksgiving is the biggest day for football, there are all kinds of events staged on holidays in the states cause it's accessible to all who want to enjoy their day off and participate in these events, you can leave your house at 8;30 and I promise you they won't start their show until 10 or 10;30.
9. very good - any way it's unjewish

World Citizen ,   the world   (03.27.14)
Those devilish Stones have pulled a Goyish con on the naive Israelis. This whole concert was meant to wean the unwary Jewish child away from his religion and culture. Bibi must cancel this assimilation concert before the Stones get here.

You are funny. You criticise Danny calling him an extremist trying force his ways on others. What do you think you are doing with this post? Exactly what you are accusing Danny of doing. Live and let live! No one has forced you to believe in anything you do not wish to believe in. Danny is perfectly entitled to freedom of expression.
12. "The Rolling Stones don't mesh well with Torah values..."
Cameron ,   USA   (03.27.14)
YNET LOL quote of the month, #7. Worthy of being sold on a t-shirt at the show that. A quote to remember.
13. Like a Rolling Stone
EM ,   Ra'anana   (03.27.14)
At least the illustrious MK can afford the tickets for him and his children. I for one cannot, so it really doesn't matter what day they perform here.
14. no satisfaction
myname ,   mycountry   (03.27.14)
Why would an observant Jew be so frustrated that his daughters did not learn about getting no satisfaction?
15. the Rolling Stones do not play more then once every 3 days
k ,   US   (03.27.14)
looking at their schedule, if they do not play on this day I do not think they will play the concert
16. #5 you are a genius

17. Rolling Stones can change the date
Tova ,   Canada   (03.27.14)
if they are sincere in playing in Israel. Respect must be given to Israel and more importantly to GOD who gave us this Land. It is not only offensive to religious people but all of Israel. I'm not religious, however respect must to given GOD. Rolling Stones change your date.
18. LMAO......
Koose E Mack ,   NY USA   (03.27.14)
I personally don't know many Observant Jews that are big Rolling Stones Fans. Their music isn't exactly what the Rabbis recommend!! I'm not judging, just making an observation! Between seeing the Stones and observing Matan Torah...I don't think there's much of a conflict in the mind of one who is Observant!
19. So wait ..........
Moose Zubree ,   NY USA   (03.27.14)
There are many Jewish Rock Musicians who'll play on non holy days. Go see Yossi Piamenta instead...much better musician!..lol
20. no sympathy for the devil...
avramele   (03.27.14)
Dafka none for the disingenuous MK's whose rebbes would never approve of a Stones concert. Am glad he can't get no satisfaction as my support goes to the hard working salt of the earth secularists of Tel Aviv. Next they'll demand a mechitza at your concerts.
21. #7, 60 years late to the party
Steve   (03.29.14)
The 1950's called and they want their sanctimonious hypocrisy back. And before you start writing exit visas for secular Israelis please consider that Israel was bought and paid for with the lives of thousands of secular Jews.
22. # 21 Steve To be exact
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (03.29.14)
the rebirth of Israel may have been ' bought and paid for with the lives of thousands of secular Jews' but, originally, the land was given to religious Jews and it was a free gift. Ancients like Moses, Abraham, Isaac, and the main player Jacob- Israel. We, all their descendants, have the questionable option to remember or forget our G-d. As for me and my house, NEVER!!! KEEP BUSY BUILDING !! IT'S A MITZVAH!!!
23. Mick Says "We're Not Changing Anything....

You Israelis Can Change Your Religion" Read it in Times of London. This is rich. LOL!

Peter Lawton ,   Haifa, Israel   (03.31.14)
Your article does not mention that also Stones' fans living otside the Dan region, who are dependent on public transport, will not be able to attend even if they are not observant.
