1. Authors, Arab League just rejected Jewish State recognition
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.28.14)
Why is this such a big deal for them? Why don't you Authors go after them for this?
2. Obama is going for Hajj to Mecca, don't expect anything else
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.28.14)
3. what part
(03.28.14)
What part of the PLO covenant and the Koran do these two not understand? Why is it that two apparently educated people lack reading comprehension?
4. Any sane Israeli (the vast majority) does not believe Arabs
tom ,   tel aviv   (03.28.14)
want peace with the thorn in their Islamic butt: the Zionist Entity on "their" land. That much is evident to a 6-year old, but not to the Eternal Shimon or Zippora Schpitzer or assorted "Beilins" on our political scene. As for Obama-Kerry duo, that's equally clear from day one at the Oval Office: undoing of the perceived wrongs the White Man has done in the name of US democracy. On the way to achieve that goal Jewish State must be done away with. One way or another. Bronfman Forum(whatever) & alike are simply bloated morons letting out pungent air that's trapped in their skulls...Alea iacta est: the die has been cast.
5. lasting peace accord
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.28.14)
Does that mean something more than 10 seconds? Somehow I do not believe it does. The Arab "Peace" Initiative is just another method to destroy Israel and the Arabs have said so.
6. Forget It
Bill Stein ,   USA   (03.28.14)
Forget it no to these Suicide talks
7. Enemies with benefits, Israel wants Arab business, not peace
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.28.14)
8. Forget trying to have peace your way or
Israeli 2   (03.28.14)
any other way. Peace will come in only one way. Greater Israel, implementation of Torah laws and all nations being subservient to Israel. Thank you.
9. The Arab peace initiative
Moshe ,   Israel   (03.28.14)
When the Israeli left-wing "pundits" will understand that the main Arab interest is not cooperating with Israel, but to destroy it. This is obvious in their proposal, which contains the "Right of return" and Israel's retreat to the indefensible pre 1967 borders (with some minor land swaps). In addition, the Arab League endorsed lately PA's stance that it will never recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Are some more indications needed ?
10. Jordan Valley Area Parts Judae Samaria Fallow
Zechariah   (03.28.14)
Parts of Judae and Samaria ought remain unsettled till The full Peace but Militirized to Prevent Apocalypse .Also the Jordan Valley Area.In Theory Several Million Arab Palestinians can be Settled if they are willing to live in Peace with their Jewish Neighbours.Aliyah of Jews needs expansion by closing the Social Gap through Inspiration From people like Gates and Buffett the Righteous Rich.
11. Strange thought...
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (03.28.14)
Since the so-called "Arab Peace Initiative" is really nothing much more than a reiteration of the infamous "Three NOs" of the Khartoum Accord in 1967, I fail to see how it can be a basis for discussion of anything. For those who haven't actually read the text of the plan, it calls for a complete Israeli withdrawal from ALL territories acquired in the 6-Day War before the Arab states are required to even agree to talk. It also has no guarantees regarding anything, even in the unlikely event that ALL Arab League member states agree that Israel has fulfilled its precondition, that OIC states will follow suit. Remember, Iran is a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, but does not belong to the Arab League. The ONLY possible advantage for Israel might be scaring the crap out of the Palestinians, of they see there's a chance of losing all Arab League support... but the API also requires a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, so that's pretty unlikely, too. What exactly is this author thinking of?
12. "Embrace Arab P. Initiative" ?! Requiring Israel to take in
ab   (03.28.14)
pal "refugees". Bronfman and Rabin want to finish off Israel, something father of the latter failed to achieve
13. Saudi will never recognise Israel as the Jewish State
CJK   (03.29.14)
nor will the saudis ever recognise jewish sovereignty over jerusalem. so stop pretending that peace can be had based on the so-called saudi peace plan.
14. peace is possible with arabs on the ground
george   (03.28.14)
tunis leadership brought in to ramallah and gaza have to be eliminated as arabs on the ground have been ruined by them. They are corrupt in the extreme. Rabin and bronfman don't know what the hell they are talking about.
15. Another crazy idea up the flagpole.
Zev ,   Israel   (03.28.14)
They never give up.
16. Negotiations are USELESS
Bear K ,   USA   (03.28.14)
Palestinians/Arabs do not recognize Israels' right to exist permanently. This has always been the issue not the size of borders or settlements. Their aim is to destroy Israel. Negotiations will NOT HELP as national suicide is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
17. Yeah, yeah. Transparent attempt to deceive Jews and Zionism
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.28.14)
There is no Peace possible with Arabs in the foreseeable future. Until they become open and free democratic societies, forget about it. When will this happen? No one has an answer to that.
18. Authors, Arab League just rejected Jewish State recognition
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.28.14)
19. Enemies with benefits, Israel wants Arab business, not peace
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.28.14)
20. Enough with this nonsense
(03.28.14)
These self-indulgent "Peace" surrender fantasies are not innocent. They are immoral, dangerous, and lead to Israelis being killed. Israel is already more respected among the countries of the region than Obama and Kerry (red line and Muslim Brotherhood support) which is more important than a piece of paper "peace".
21. If a business plan doesn't work, change it!
tiki ,   belgium   (03.28.14)
Instead of all the time coming back with the same plan which has been proven not to work.....stop......think...... and adopt something new! For instance when the Arab League would come out with an 'official statement that YES, they recognize Israel as the Jewish State, YES to normalization, YES, they are willing to work with her as an equal partner in business & culture, YES, are willing to promote tourism, Yes, Yes, Yes & Yes. Instead of Israel begging for peace, it should be the Arabs offering it. It's about time!
22. ultimatum not dialogue
zionist forever   (03.28.14)
The arab plan is a take it or leave it document the arabs have dictated what Israel must give up and if we agree then there is a deal but if we are not willing to accept even a single demand no matter how trivial then there is no deal on the rest of it either because its an ultiatum which arabs are so good at giving. There is more to peace than arab states agreeing to recognise Israel and a promise to end terror. We might be willing to make concessions for real peace but that doesn't mean giving away everything and if we are being expected to give away everything then is peace worth it
23. Well OK then...
Gideon Reader   (03.28.14)
Peace is at hand. Now why oh why did not someone think of this before?Yep. the regional plan will do it. Loads; a teaming plethora of linen and percale swather 'rabs are just waiting to cooperate and make nice with those nasty JOOOOS. Good on John EFFEN Kerry. He da Man. (Oy! My sarcasm meter is stuck in the wide open position. Only your generous donations can help. Todah rabah)
24. #8 The religious arrogance
Moshe ,   Israel   (03.29.14)
With a talkback like yours, the anti-Semitism will continue to rise more swift.
25. Rehash the same infallibly wrong leftist lunacy.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.29.14)
These two merely rehash the same infallibly wrong leftist lunacy which has maimed and murdered tens of thousands of Israelis. It is obvious to any child, who can read a map, that Judea and Samaria male Israel viable. Judea and Samaria belong to Israel. Another amazing thing is that "Palestinians" don't even try to hide their genocidal intent against Israel. They shout it out loud and proud every day.
26. Enemies with benefits, Israel wants to be left in Peace
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.30.14)
27. Two leftist banging their heads at reality
Philippe ,   Raanana   (03.30.14)
Not a single word about Abbas three NO: 1)No to the end of the conflict; any Agreement with Israel is only temporary stage on the path to Israel total surrender. 2) No to the right of return for 5 million refugees 3) No to the recognition of Israel as the state of the jewish people. The three NO of Abbas record the 3 No of Khartoum in 1970.After Khartoum came the 1973 war.Only a bunch of grotesque reality deniers can mumble that there is a possibility within the larger arab League framework when they delibarately try to ignore-hide that the palestinain have not the slightest intention of renoucing the eternal war.Rabin-Bronfman should try to get attention on something more useful than such lunacies.
28. 1,2,17,18,26, not mine.
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (03.30.14)
My fan club is getting larger and larger. Fame.
29. Yuval Rabin should read Rabin's final speech in the Knesset.
(04.03.14)
First, thank you Steve Benassi for mentioning, Arab League just rejected Jewish State recognition Why is this such a big deal for them? Why don't you Authors go after them for this? Rabin's final speech. Yuval should learn from this. 1) Jerusalem will remain united under Israel's sovereignty and will also include the suburbs of Giv'at Zeev and Ma'leh Adumim 2) All Jewish settlement blocs, including Gush Qattif in Gaza, will be incorporated into the sovereign state of Israel 3) The Jordan Valley ought to be understood in the widest sense of the term and it too will be part of sovereign Israel 4) The future Palestinian Arab state will not be a regular one in that it will be totally demilitarized, its airspace will be fully controlled by Israel, as will its boundaries and all of its borders passes: land, sea and air Rabin presented his vision, the Contour-for-Peace, to the Knesset on 5 Oct 1995, his last speech at the house.
30. arab peace initiative
zelda harris ,   telaviv yaffo   (10.12.14)
Maybe Israel Yozemet will support the new Kerry initiative? I assume that the writer will be at the memorial rally "Return to the Square on November 1st. What about the official government memorial...do we all go or not??? After all the call for peace talks has to come from our PM so maybe we need to be there to demand that ?
