Israel has released three groups of prisoners and all it's gotten are three no's: no to recognition to Israel as Jewish state, no giving up right of return, no giving up demand for Jerusalem as it's Capitol (they don't even recognize that Israel has ANY legitimacy to ANY part of Jerusalem- even the Western Wall). And why would a country agree to allow another country to force it to release its own citizens convicted of crimes. The Palestinians have over played their cards. If they are going to go to the international community for further recognition then that's what they do.

Israel silently did so. I cannot remember, that I ever heard about Israel openly agreeing with the release of these felons! Now, that the Arabs made it clear, that there is nothing to negotiate, there is no incentive for Israel to release them. Whatever subsequently happens would happen anyway.
