2. Olmert in jail...
yosef, phd ,   florida-israel   (04.05.14)
It was waiting for this crook for years - hopefully he will spend the rest of his life behind bars. What much more shocking, is, that he was the Prime minister of Israel !!! This only goes to confirm again, that the worst , most dangerous enemies of the Jewish state are its own governments for the last two decades. And they were ELECTED by its own people...
3. Can of bleeding worms ; Akirov, who else

US$ Billions were made by Akirov in a short time ; Genius he is not. Come on! Zaken: give us the news.

As an ex-Prime Minister, as crooked as Olmert is he still enjoys a certain degree of impunity. Peres will likely pardon any sentence immediately. If he doesn't, Olmert has enough dirt on other crooked politicians to bring the whole sh&*t house down. Yes, the public and the press will scream for justice, but eventually we'll find a different scandal to focus on. Soon afterwards, we'll go back to searching for the next "metzia' on Zap or a long weekend getaway on Daka 90. We'll forget about Olmert and instead root for our favorite singer on 'The Voice' and rant about how the settlers, Haridim and Arabs are ruining our country. The reality is that even if Olmert went to jail, he has accumulated so much wealth that he will still earn more money behind bars than most Israelis can ever dream of. Olmert will retire in disgrace but will still have Shabak protection, a driver and a fat pension 'till the day he dies.
5. #4 I'm sure Olmert will go to jail.
michael redboun ,   Lisbon - Portugal   (04.06.14)
Peres most likely won't be President when Olmert is sentenced. And it would also be too difficult to pardon Olmert because the vast majority of the public want him behind bars.
6. obstruction of justice is a very serious charge if brought
arieh   (04.06.14)
obtruction of justice is at the heartof the justice system along with the search for truth. Without laws against perjury and obstruction of justice. Press reports indicate zaken has some potentially significant evidence in this regard. If a convic tion is won in such a case, along with the corruption charges, the prison sentence could mean 10-20 years injail minimum. So this is extremely serious, very serious and should give all potentially involved sleepless nights. When the jailhouse door closes, the jig is up. and to think that many in the media did not see any of this.
