The arab parties are actually beneficial to the right. If there were no arab parties then the arabs would vote for Labor or Meretz because there is not way they would vote for a right now party that has no love of arabs. Imagine 1.5 million arabs voting for Labor & Meretz, the left would probably be the party of government 90% of the time. As long as the vote is split between more parties then the less chance the left have of winning the election. If Likud & Yisrael Beitanu end their current alliance going into the next election almost certainly Labor will win because a lot of peopler are bored with Bibi and are willing to give Herzog a shot so the rLikud & Yisrael Beitainu need to be united to win the next election. Already raising the electoral threshold has fallen into the hands of the arabs because if they dissolve their little parties and unite form a single arab party with about 10 seats then they can demand senior cabinet postings.

On the contrary, the trends in Israel clearly show that the Israeli Left is becoming more and more marginalized as every year passes. Demographically speaking, Jewish women have the highest fertility rate in the western world of approximately 3 children per fertile woman and the Arab number is starting to converge with the Jewish number. Very soon, the fertility levels between ethnic Israelis/Jews and Arabs will be equal, and Jewish fertility levels are expected to rise, increase and even surpass Arab fertility levels in the future. This means Israel's Jewish demographic majority of 75-80% of the population is expected to grow well over 80% in the future. Since the Jews/Israelis will constitute a higher percentage of Israel's total population in the future, and since the Arab share of the total population will fall, and since Israel's Left is marginalized, I don't see what your conclusion is based on. Speaking of raising the electoral threshold: the most vocal opponents to raising the electoral threshold, happen to be the Arabs themselves, since they know that their Arab parties don't stand much of chance to survive. In fact many Israeli Arabs feel disgusted with the Arab parties since they know very well that Arab politicans in Israel are generally speaking corrupt, don't care much about their fellow Arab brethren and simply use every excuse to fan the flames of hatred against Jews and Israel. Arab MKs have done very little if anything at all, to improve the lives of Israeli Arabs. That's why most Israeli Arabs already vote for Labor and Meretz. And I agree with Chaim: ban the Arab parties.
