34. Wow - Now Haber is advising our enemy
Zev ,   Israel   (04.07.14)
by giving them crazy ideas that would only harm them and Israel.
35. Remember Abbas and Hamas in Russia just few years ago??
Anna M sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (04.07.14)
Let s not forget, and there are pleanty of news, that just a few years ago,Abbas and Hamas, where going in Russia every second day for support..... This is not a news and Russia has been always there; now it is time for Russia to uncover His mask..!!!!
36. #15: WRONG: Putin took BACK what belonged to RUSSIA.
Z. Lazkow ,   israel   (04.07.14)
37. Moscow and Ramallah: The new alliance
George Weiss ,   Teaneck, USA   (04.07.14)
Russia may be OK in the short run but it's power will be declining in the near future, especially if it takes parts of the Ukraine ( a state in financcial trouble that will require a lot of resources). Also, Ruc=ssia has very little leverage with Israel so it can not threaten to withhold any support.
38. Moscow and Ramallah: The new alliance
George Weiss ,   Teaneck, USA   (04.07.14)
This is another sign that the world no longer looks at the US as the power it once was. This is mostly Obama's fault.
39. 30 cont'd. Israel is not just Judah in the Middle East. It
Rivkah   (04.07.14)
is all the Tribes of the Hebrews: Europe, USA, Britain, as well as Judah (Israel in the Middle East). The war of Gog of Magog on Israel is not just against the little Middle East Israel in my opinion.
40. To: No. 23
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.07.14)
I doubt that Putin could bring Russian warships anywhere near Gaza without raising a great many hackles and irritating a great many countries. Moreover, Israel bombed a warehouse in Latakia crammed full of Russian missiles, in full view of the Russian Navy berthed not one hundred feet away. The Russians did nothing.
41. That's an awfully long diatribe ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.07.14)
... predicated on the assumption that Israel would agree to a Russian-mediated ANYTHING. It would be the fastest way to quash negotiations forever, and a virtual guarantee that these futile "negotiations" will not resume. Abbas is playing for time that he does not have. Israel has all the time in the world.
42. 28
zionist forever   (04.07.14)
The problem this time is Obama is weak and non confrontational which is why Putin is getting away with all the things he is doing like annexing Crimea. Its why Obama accepted his lame deal on Syria allowing Assad to stay in power killing as many people as he wants as long as he doesn't use chemical weapons. Abbas probably rightly thinks that if he has Putin on his side Obama will put all the pressure on Israel to give him anything he demands and ask for nothing in return if Abbas doesn't want to give it. Putin would never have considered any of the things he has done under Bush or even Clinton but Obama has made the US look weak,
43. How can these talks possibly benefit Israel?
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.08.14)
Nobody has a rational to the simplest question about the "peace talks with Palestinians". How can they possibly benefit Israel? Is there some magic benefit in letting "Palestinians" steal Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria from us and turn Israel into a 9 mile wide concentration camp?
44. Russia won't help Palestinians
PhilN ,   Wheeling, IL, US   (04.08.14)
In the early stages of the Syrian civil war Putin came to Israel. Putin went to the Kotel with a yarmulke on as a symbol of solidarity with Israel. Israel has stayed out of Syria except when someone informs them of an arms shipment to Hezbollah. The Sunni Palestinians have supported the rebellion against Assad. Speculation that Russia will now support the Palestinians is ridiculous.
45. New Alliance Moscow - Ramallah
Harold ,   USA   (04.09.14)
It is not Ramallah only. Moscow is trying to spread its friendship to all Arab/Muslim Nations and probably to all those immigrated to Israel from the Soviet Union who still speak the Russian language and there is a possibility a Russian speaking immigrant becomes an Israeli PM soon.
