2. cyber attack
jon ,   uk   (04.07.14)
Israel should not say if the attack works or not to keep the attackers wondering so as not to let them know what works

What the hackers may not appreciate is that they leave a trail -- it would be rather like trailing an elephant through a heap of cocoa; very easy to do. There's some incredibly good sniffer software out there. Most of it invented in Israel. There isn't a computer, laptop, notebook, smart phone or tablet anywhere in the world that doesn't have a piece of Israeli-owned proprietary software. Some of it is bound to have the capability to do things that not even Intel or Microsoft knows about. If I were a hacker wishing to trash an Israeli website, I'd really want to give it a great deal of thought before doing something stupid. All that said, as nearly as I can tell, these "brave" hackers brought a penknife to a gunfight. And they probably left a trail that makes them very easy to find. Not wise.
4. the idf doesn't "attack" gaza
tom ,   toronto, canada   (04.07.14)
the idf strikes are meant to silence sources of fire against israel, and to deter further attacks from gaza. when there are no attacks from the terrorists in gaza, there is no retaliation from the idf. to normal people, this is called "defence".
5. My vile Antisemitic Clone will quote "Mein Kampf," again

6. they can be found very easily
aaron ,   tel aviv   (04.07.14)
the thing is they aren't doing anything that is worth Mossad's/ShinBet's time. its also kind of not accurate to call them anonymous because they kind of hijacked the name from the actual organization that is about expanding free speech and freedom of information not taking a country off the internet.
7. This is warfare set out to destroy and harm us
Daniel ,   TA - IL   (04.07.14)
and no individual should be gfree from retaliation, no matter what price. They should be treated as any other hater trying to attack. Let's located and really destroy them

9. never heard of this Technion center for strategic and scie
AT ,   Boston, MA   (04.07.14)
What's your source?
10. Stop giving a stage to these clowns
Northern   (04.07.14)
The vast majority of Israelis wouldn't even know about this supposed attack. That's because these anonymous people are a bunch of unsophisticated, 16 year old script kiddies. They don't know anything. They only know how to make scary sound, "supervillian" type videos where they warn us, and tell us to "cease and desist". These kids are playing supervillians, and the media gives them publicity.
11. Why, "AT", do you doubt role of Technion
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (04.07.14)
You say you've never heard of Technion's "center for strategic and scientific study", but Technion has one of the world's largest and most prominent departments of computer science. So it shouldn't surprise their people would play a major role in monitoring and developing defenses against cyber attacks, even if the work is done within an obscure group. Technion, you should know, drives Israel's northern high-tech cluster, supporting the R&D centers of Intel, IBM, HP, Apple and Microsoft, all within greater Haifa. USB keychain drives, Limpel-Ziv compression, and firewall software were all developed by Technion grads. Technion will soon have some friendly competition down south as Israel's new cyber-security center goes up near Beersheva and Ben-Gurion University, enhanced with the presence of the IDF's storied 8200 unit.

Do you make a practice of demanding closed circuit tapes of everyone shot at a border crossing anywhere in the world? Didn't think so. He attacked an Israeli soldier, there were plenty of witnesses. End of story. Don't like it? You could kill yourself. That would certainly demonstrate your solidarity with the lunatic Jordanian "judge," and just think of all the people that won't miss you one little bit.

14. The "hackers" seem insecure and afraid
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (04.07.14)
They threaten because of their own insecurity and fear. They fear real combat, so they threaten in a virtual futility.
