1. Jews
Paul ,   Kenya   (04.08.14)
I have never really understood why Jews never seem to fight back when it comes to anti-semetism, therefore making them such an easy target for violence. When the Muslims have similar problems, being a sizable minority, they really do fight back and it works. The rabble are afraid to confront Muslims, but have no fear in confronting Jews. Is it not time for Jews to change tactics ?

Arik ,   Hadera Israel   (04.08.14)
There the Jews are physically attacked, but by the muslims we are supposed to make peace with in Israel...what a bad joke from our leaders.
8. Israel's anti-Semitism beats them all
Danny   (04.08.14)
The anti-Semitism and racism towards the religious especially towards haredim is stronger in Israel than elsewhere in the world.
9. Much rise in antisemitism may be caused...
exUK ,   TEL AVIV   (04.08.14)
...by the Israeli occupation in West Bank, and lack of 2 state progress,,building etc, leading to BDS,whatever the rights and wrongs. It is them assumed that all "zionist" activity is automatically 'sanctioned' by every Jew in diaspora, which of course is untrue,as lots are secular or non zionist ,or have no interest/input into Israel. Thus these diaspora Jews suffer unfairly because of settlers, building and maintaining status quo.in the matter. Thus, being anti Israel or antizionist IS NOT synonymous with antisemitism, but MAY CAUSE more antisemitism. The Arab lobby is much more effective than Israel's "hasbara".
10. To the Jews of Hungary
arne ,   chicago usa   (04.08.14)
If you insist on living there, then behave as one of them--no skull caps in public-keep a low profile. Remember you are quests not hosts. If you want to be a host, move to "you know where".
11. Anti-semitism
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (04.08.14)
Please, when will anti-semitism end everywhere? The Jewish and Israeli people have suffered more than enough in history. That Israel may exist forever and always!
12. 9#, Did the Jews "occupy the West Bank" in 1944?
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (04.09.14)
Its always easy to blame the victim You claim that Israel's current policies are causing the anti-semtism Yet in 1944 there was not even a country called Israel yet anti-semtism existed in Hungary In fact the faascist grandfathers of the 2014 Hungarian neo-Nazis helped the Germans round up and transport to the gas chambers at Auschwitz 600,000 Jews EXACTLY 70 years ago!
13. A lesson to European antisemites
Jake   (04.09.14)
"Its members joined the Jobbik party which was founded by Csanád Szegedi and other people, and Szegedi recently discovered that he is actually Jewish." There was a similar case with a far-right politician in Russia (Zhironovsky). That should be a lesson to European antisemities not to be too 'gung-ho' about their ideology. If they shake their family tree, they just might find a Jew up there.
14. #9, how does that explain...
Sam ,   NY, USA   (04.09.14)
the thousands of years of antisemitism that prevailed before the Jews regained their land from invading tribes from the Arabian peninsula?
15. Austrians were always Antisemites
Sami ,   Ex. Vienna, Austria   (04.09.14)
Austrians were always Antisemites. My mother was from Vienna and I lived there for 2 years. They also do not permit Dual Nationality.
16. More insidious
Tim ,   Brighton   (04.09.14)
Is this small vocal band of racists in Hungary its now being reported is 'deeming as Jewish' even those a quarter and one eighth Jewish to be 'monitored' and 'kept under observation' That would put the Jewish Population of Hungary today at over 150000
17. This is why they kicked you out to Palestine!!
(04.09.14)
18. Arne , 10 . Not guests !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.09.14)
Jews have contributed much to Hungary , in almost every field , science , arts , sports , and so on . They most likely also contribute today . so they are citizens of this country , with all the rights all citizens have .
19. Integrate into the society you benefit from, "dwell alone"
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.09.14)
...racism, behavior, dress, marriage, business practices, leads to conflict.

You have hit the nail squarely on the head. Other suggestions, do not insult Americans by supporting and deifying a scum bag like Jonathan Pollard. Secondly, while the holocaust was a black mark on Germany's history, we don't need to hear about it all the time. It has been 70 years, time marches on.

Herr Adolf ,   New York   (04.09.14)
Antisemitism will never end. Why have they been thrown out of just about every country they lived in? It's not because they are viewed as decent people. When Jews stop arrogantly acting like that they are 'the Chosen People' and better than everyone else, it will be a start. Their deplorable behaviour in the Middle East has added fuel and fanned anti-semitism that will last for generations. Look inward, be honest and you shall discover the truth.
22. Persecutions in all it shades is part of
Ameridane ,   Aarhus, Denmark   (04.10.14)
the character of the (Present) Jewish way of life-The more you get persecuted the better you feel. Proof?: After 2000 years in exile you have your own HOME but no, they will not move to Israel! Rather slavery that goes together with flesh pots of Egypt
23. 20.
Gabriel ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (04.09.14)
You have a little gem of a nickname there. No decency to be attributed to Herr Adolf from NY, however. You should be so proud.
24. 23 Gabriel. Precies !
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (04.10.14)
[exactly] I told him the same ,but not in as a refined way as you did. Did you learn your perfect English in The Netherlands?
25. To 20 and 21
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (04.11.14)
At first, I deplore your nickname, "Herr Adolph". At second, Jewish people are, in fact, chosen by God, through Abraham's Alliance, and we, true Christians, are their brethren. I remind you that Israel, since 1947, has struggled for living in peace with Arab Palestines. But, since today, it has been impossible, mainly because of intolerance and radicalism from leadersof the last ones. Then, excuse me, but you have to think better about all of it.
26. # 23 Gabriel
Herr Adolf ,   New York   (04.10.14)
Several years ago, I briefly visited your picturesque city. It was in the beginning of October and I recall there was some sort of great, historical festival going on. Judge me, if you must, by the content of my remarks, not my name. i've never been the subject of such prejudice and venom in my long life.
27. #20 Herr Strundehoff
Koose E Mack ,   NY US   (04.10.14)
You do need to hear about it herr scheissesser. Those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Regarding Jews in Hungary and the rest of the European Caliphate...GTFO. It's time to come home....We are not wanted in Europe...Let them deal with the Islamic Hordes...We will defend ourselves from our own land!!!!!!
28. So why are they staying there?
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (04.10.14)
Time to pack bags and head for the Promise Land! No need to wait and be killed by anti-Semites.
29. #10: Not guests -
Seth ,   Massachusetts, USA   (04.12.14)
Jews who've been in Hungary since, more than likely, the 18th or 19th centuries are not ' guests ' . They're citizens. My immigrant grandparents weren't "guests" in the US - they became citizens. Hungarian Jews have every right to wear kippot if they choose and to be left alone. That said, the behavior of the ultra-Orthodox, the Hasidim; the arrogance and extreme insularity - don't serve to endear them to the members of any society among whom they live. It's the same here in the US. However that only explains some of the antisemitism we're faced with however it doesn't excuse it.
