I have never really understood why Jews never seem to fight back when it comes to anti-semetism, therefore making them such an easy target for violence. When the Muslims have similar problems, being a sizable minority, they really do fight back and it works. The rabble are afraid to confront Muslims, but have no fear in confronting Jews. Jews who've been in Hungary since, more than likely, the 18th or 19th centuries are not ' guests ' . They're citizens. My immigrant grandparents weren't "guests" in the US - they became citizens. Hungarian Jews have every right to wear kippot if they choose and to be left alone. That said, the behavior of the ultra-Orthodox, the Hasidim; the arrogance and extreme insularity - don't serve to endear them to the members of any society among whom they live. It's the same here in the US. However that only explains some of the antisemitism we're faced with however it doesn't excuse it.
