1. The IDF is the only reason these people exist.
Jake   (04.08.14)
If Yitzhar insists on biting the hand that feeds, the IDF should remove the kid gloves. The local thugs should be expelled, and the land apportioned off and given to retired IDF personnel. Those that served the country with honor should get the reward, not these uncivilized miscreants, vandals, and hooligans.
2. No. Israeli government stabbed ISRAELI'S IN THE BACK AGAIN!!
Avraham ,   Jerusalem   (04.08.14)
Looks like we will have to settle this with a civil war. We have the right to defend ourselves from these criminal government's actions.
3. I do not approve ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.08.14)
... but keep in mind that the IDF has destroyed many settler outposts. Judea and Samaria are historically the heartland of Israel; it is not up to Abbas or the international community to decree where in the Jewish homeland Jewish people may reside. Best to leave the settler outposts alone. These brave pioneers should not be put in the position of resisting Israeli soldiers; the IDF should not be put in the position of acting against Jews. We have enough enemies. There is no benefit to fighting amongst ourselves. But the right of the Jewish people to live in Judea and Samaria is paramount. It is not necessary, or even desirable, to placate Abbas and his terrorist rabble by restricting where Jews may live.
4. Please do not destroy the houses of the Jews!
olim hadashim ,   tel aviv   (04.08.14)
5. Food insecurity
Mark ,   London   (04.09.14)
Are these settlers the sort of people suffering from food insecurity I've been reading about this evening? Where does the money come from to live in these settlements. Is it cos they can't afford to live anywhere else? Don't they have jobs?
6. Investigation of those who love the land
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO   (04.08.14)
I see the trains run on time in eretz ha kodesh. And so the Judenrat will order with their self proclaimed Iron fist of duplicity the destruction of those they serve by those sworn to protect same. Emptying your prisons of the other that come to and have killed you since you will need the room for those that serve you and those they order to destroy you who are sworn to protect you and have destroyed more of you than the the other! Generations destroyed by those sworn to protect you on orders of those who serve you! Those that serve you disparage the generations born and unborn by arming training and feeding those that come to kill you. Fill the vacancies left by those who were brought to prison with blood of those sworn to protect you. toot toot train is on time its Judenrein
7. Jail them
Dan   (04.09.14)
Why aren't these settlers in jail? They destroyed state military property.
8. If we cannot be responsible for policing
exUK ,   TEL AVIV   (04.09.14)
our own people's actions,we cannot expect the other side to do the same with their people..Also IDF should be responsible for PROTECTING Arab villagers from extremist settlers.I'm sure they didn't get God given instructions to run amock. It was the government who painted themselves into a (zionist?) corner after 1967 by providing subsidized housing over the line.It was hard enough to clear Gaza settlements in 2005/6.If we dont have Abbas we will get Hamas,Al Quieda or worse in West Bank. It is time that we stopped playing semantics with terminology about that area and started to consider PEOPLE AS PEOPLE whether Jew or Arab
9. It's the Jews land
Robert ,   lost in farmington   (04.09.14)
It's the Jews land , so whats the problem. If the Idf is removing settlers to make Kerry and the Obama administration happy , then I don't blame the settlers. anyone in there right minds would do the same thing when it came to there homes.
10. And they attacked with only rocks?!
manicdrummer ,   Haifa, Israel   (04.09.14)
If the IDF finds it really hard to do battle with stone throwers, maybe they should switch to stones themselves. Or at least start dressing up like hockey goalies. But my support goes out to the settlers. Their land is Jewish land. Always was, always will be.
11. The IDF has weapons and should defend themselves
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (04.09.14)
I am pretty sure that if the IDF kills a few settlers, the attacks on the IDF will stop real quick. The IDF should NOT just stand around like rocks, but use their training and weapons to defend themselves, with deadly force if necessary. An army that does not defend itself is worthless. Note also that if the IDF gets a reputation as being ineffective, other groups will also attack them.
12. Lost their right
neal ,   minneapolis usa   (04.09.14)
I've long believed that Jews have the right to live anywhere in the eretz until there's some kind of settlement with the Arabs, but these hooligans have lost that right. It seems to me that the IDF should stop protecting these criminals from their Arab neighbors or else move them out and destroy the place. Arabs, it is said, respect only strength and see compromise as weakness, but that does not give Jews any right to provoke them or damage their property. Doing so also is dysfunctional, making enemies of people who probably just want to be left alone.
13. Yitzhar traitors
Nancy   (04.09.14)
Tikme to raise that vipers nest of traitors to the ground
14. Stop building settlements
Harri ,   EU   (04.09.14)
If you continue building illegal settlements it will destroy your moral. Everyone knows they are illegal according to international law and it ruins your moral inside. Nobody will obey the law anymore, not the settlers, not the Israelis and not the politicians... and you know it is already happening. When your moral is gone, you will be easy prey to the beasts.
15. Sarah B? Where's your comment on that?
(04.09.14)
Soldiers stood idly by Jewish terrorists? We understand better now how the government on upper levels functions and what kind of orders it gives to its army
16. I call BS
(04.08.14)
A group of 50 "settlers" approached 6 soldiers and told them to stand aside while they broke their stuff for 3 -5 minutes. They did not drive away (their cars would have been filmed by security cameras), so it means the 50 are from and still are in Yizhar. Yizhar is not such a big place. There is no way that all 6 soldiers are unable to identify even one of the 50 they watched for at least 3 minutes. Considering the timing of this incident is exactly when the Leftist fantasy of surrender to Abbas collapses, I call BS.
17. Simple solution
Mike ,   Rishon le Zion   (04.09.14)
The IDF should just simply LEAVE this settlement and let the maniacs fend for themselves. All those thugs are not worth even one ankle of one miluimnik who puts his life on the line for them and leaves his family behind to do that. This is a disgusting development which should not be tolerated under any circumstances. All the comments here about so-called jewish land etc etc are just simply IRRELEVANT to the case at hand.
18. America's child, Israel, is a spoiled brat monster, throwing
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.09.14)
...tantrums whenever they don't get their way.
19. #14, No the settlements are not illegal under any law.
Jake   (04.09.14)
It is for political reasons that they are potrayed as such in the UN, but in the world of reality that fallacy does not hold up. We will not forgive nor forget nor accept the manipulation of interational law by your ilk in order to further your antisemitic, anti-Israel "final solution" agenda.
20. Benassi #18, Whose child are you?
Jake   (04.09.14)
You sound just as obssessed and disturbed by the Jews as a certain crazed demonic raving pyschopath with a toothbrush moustache from the last century.
