1. Don't treat them as brothers,
David ,   Montreal, Canada   (04.10.14)
if they don't serve, and don't contribute to the comon wealth, they should be stripped of all citizen advantages and rights.
2. Jewish parents who sent their children
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.10.14)
to such an army where brutality against their own brethren are as cruel as animals belong in an asylum. Why would any normal parent allow their children to step foot in such a shameful disgraceful army?
3. Contradiction!
Maurice ,   Montreal   (04.10.14)
A good part of these ultra orthodox haredim (like the Neture Karta) are against the very existence of the state of Israel. How can you ask such people to serve in the army? Send them all to Iran, they already showed in the past they are good friends of the Mullahs there.
4. I don't know who's worse
arne ,   chicago usa   (04.10.14)
the Haradi or the people who sneak in from Africa--They both cause trouble and are in part subsidized by the state. There is one difference though, the Africans for the most part are looking for work--that said--the Haradi are worse.
5. the blood sucking ignorants
alan ash ,   nyc   (04.10.14)
The blood sucking ,uneducated, ignorant people who do not contribute to society should be ashamed of themselves. The money spent on this demonstration should be reduced from their subsidies.
6. The draft-dodgers have made their point
Righteous Zionist ,   Israel   (04.10.14)
Not only do they oppose the army but it seems they are too violent to serve in the IDF anyway. Ours is the one country whose soldiers are not thugs and hooligans have no place..
7. serving the nation through prayer ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.10.14)
Did such prayers protect our fathers from Auschwitz ?
8. May these protests
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.10.14)
against the evil zionists who are out simply to destroy Judaism like they did about 65 years ago will continue daily.
9. Those who care to know the truth about Israeli police & IDF

10. what is the problem?
robert ,   Antwerpen (2018)   (04.10.14)
That man could have gone to the recruitment center with a document from his yeshiva that he is a full time student. He would have the army defer the duty till 26 when he probably would be married with children and gain a dispension. Unless, he is not a full time student and is just trying to evade. In that case , he is removing himself from the community of Israƫl (hayotse et atsmo min haclal kafar be ikar)
11. to #5: Yo' my man Al
HH ,   Jerusalem   (04.11.14)
Your first sentence would be welcome on any anti-Semitic website. And don't tell me "well, we have legitimate gripes with them." Because the national-socialists worker's party also felt like that back in the 1930's. We all know what followed.
12. Regarding #1 et al
Harold G. ,   USA   (04.11.14)
Don't you just love advice about serving and contributing . . . when it arrives from abroad!!!
13. Hypocritical Jews
El gato ,   USA   (04.11.14)
The haredim are the very people that Jesus called "hypocrites". They don't love God...they love their phony practices and pious chanting at the Wall. "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."
14. To #15: El gato
HH ,   Jerusalem   (04.13.14)
You forgot to quote chapter and verse on that marvelous speech: "You serpents, you generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell?" Can you provide some information about Jesus' attitude toward celebrating the Passover seder with family?
