1. IDF Mafia
Ariel ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (04.11.14)
B"H - IDF: We protect you. - Yitzhar yeshiva: We don't want your protection. - IDF: No? OK, so we take you over and close you down.

Madeleine ,   Israel   (04.11.14)
Your thinking is skewed. The yeshiva is seen as the centre of incitement to violence against the IDF. They deserve to be shut down and that's just what the Border Police are doing. Quite frankly, I don't think the IDF should put onesingle soldier there to 'protect' this hotbed of violence. If they - the residents of Yizhar - want to uproot the Palis trees, let them suffer the Palis' retaliation. As for the yeshiva, seems no better than the mosques qhich preach violence. Please tell me what the difference is?
3. Funny!
Danny   (04.11.14)
Funny that the ones who are the strongest IDF supporters are the ones to be evicted from their homes by the IDF. When will these Daati Leumi learn what Haredim have known all along since the Zionists invaded the Jewish land? When will they finally grasp that the Zionists hate them hundredfold more than they hate Haredim?
4. border police
caleb afendopoulo ,   brooklyn   (04.11.14)
firstly it is known that the border police look for those with violent tendencies. the druze hate and are hated by the arabs and have no fidelity to the jews only by convenience as is known they are basically mercenaries. they also recruit ethiopians because the ethiopeans do not share the same heritage as the larger jewish community and thus not affected by their conscience when having to carry out their duties. so what we have here is an orchestrated 'micro-facism' to appease the powers that be.
5. Best news from YNET for some time now
Michael ,   Haifa   (04.11.14)
Hope they keep them shut down until the Messiah arrives.
6. exremist yeshiva
CJK   (04.11.14)
most unfortunately, there are some extrimists among jews. they must be stopped. they must be arrested, tried and if convicted, they must be imprisoned.
7. Good!
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.11.14)
It is time and past time to teach these people that the law of the land includes them too.
8. Women in Green must be oh so proud of their man Bogie
Curt Gowdy ,   Palm Beach, FL   (04.11.14)
Here is a man that acts without accountability to those he serves by ordering those sworn to protect them to instead destroy them. Jews have been harassed, made defenseless, their homes and lives destroyed in the land of their own name by this tyrant who acts without any evidence being examined.
9. Takeover of yeshiva at this very time?
Naftush ,   Israel   (04.11.14)
Passover season is a "semester break" in the yeshiva world. The border police takeover probably disrupted little if any Torah study.
10. Good move!! I salute the authorities for dealing harshly
N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.11.14)
with thugs, of any shape or color!!
11. Israel is now reaping what we sowed
Vered, Israel   (04.11.14)
With turning a blind eye to the idealogical radicalization of certain settler groups, and ignoring their violence - as long as it wasn't directly at us, and by funding the Hareidi lifestyle for 60 years, we've really got a problem on our hands, and guess what? It's pretty easy to fix. If we'd just stop kicking the can down the road while they get more numerous and entrenched in their only recently challenged positions. Stop funding them all. Just stop it. 1. Only the best Hareidi students can get a scholarship of maximum 4 years to their yeshivas. Not a stipend, just a scholarship, the way the best secular students do. 2. If they burn garbage bins in their neighborhoods, they don't get new garbage bins. 3. Meet force with force at radicalized settler outposts. Then, stop water and electricity.
12. Yitzhar is a drop in the ocean
Sagi   (04.11.14)
Bnei Brak and Mea shearim et al are the root of the problem. They should be taken over by the IDF and forced into normality.
13. The Tzar and his Cossacks
Alon   (04.11.14)
Good reminder to add Av Harachamin
14. #12: you've really gone too far this time
Zvika ,   Jerusalem   (04.11.14)
Yitzhar and Bnei Brak couldn't be further apart. The Yitzhar folk could be armed and many if not most have combat experience, often in elite units. Just for the record: are you defining "normal" as anyone who follows your way of thinking, and "abnormal" as those who do not? Just wondering.
15. instead of fghting the enemy
David ,   On this planet   (04.11.14)
which will become a state very soon, because of Israel leaders failure, they are fighting their own people. It shows what Israel has become
16. #1, #3 don't blame IDF
(04.11.14)
Do not blame IDF: IDF soldiers must follow orders unless they are clearly illegal. Find out who gave the orders to illegally destroy the 5 Jewish homes and illegally seize the Yeshiva. Find out in what organizations their wives volunteer, how much money the wives get for their volunteering, and you will know who to blame. By the way, did you notice how they haven't found any of the 50 people who allegedly attacked the 6 border policemen? Isn't strange?
17. Finally, there is permanent large unit to protect from Arabs
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.11.14)
18. #16 I give up. How much does Bogie's wife Ehud Barak get
Curt Gowdy ,   Palm Beach, FL   (04.11.14)
paid for "volunteering" to destroy those he was sworn to protect.
19. # 14 Zvika
Sagi   (04.11.14)
My personal view of normal or abnormal is totally irrelevant. The norm for any society is measured by the laws and regulations of that society and the manner in which the majority of its citizens interpret these laws and conduct themselves and behave towards each other in particular and to the society as a whole. The norm in Israel is to study till the age of 18, to serve the country in some way for 2/3 years, to continue by going to university or college, to raise a family and provide for them and in general to become a productive and beneficial member of society. That is the norm and those who adhere to this are deemed to be normal, those who shun and avoid all of these are deemed to be abnormal.
20. These Yitzhar thugs are traitors.
Curt Gowdy , ,   Palm beach! FL   (04.11.14)
21. "Extremist yeshiva"
Aaron Kuperman ,   Baltimore   (04.11.14)
In the past the headlines complained about extremists in the hareidi yeshivos who are so fanatic they refuse to fight the Arabs and are even willing to live in peace with the Arabs. In fact, one might believe the reason for conscripting the hareidim (from a Bayit Yehudi and Likud perspective) is to turn them into the sorts of yeshiva students found in Yitzhar, who are so patriotic, they want to attack Arabs without even being told to, and who fully embrace the zionist goal of an Eretz Yisrael under zionist rule with Arabs under the foot. So who is really extreme??
22. Shut up Ariel Ben Yochanon #1 and Sagi #12...
Andy ,   Washington, DC   (04.11.14)
You're both opposite sides of the same bad coin. Mafia? Not hardly. It's just that the IDF is not going to tolerate hooliganism, even when its mixed with or masquerading as Torah learning. By all means - learn Torah! But attack people including the IDF and you will start to get in trouble. Sagi - your comments are very stupid.
23. There is no Torah being studied at that "Yeshiva"
Mark ,   Cleveland USA   (04.11.14)
Torah observant Jews don't attack IDF soldiers. Torah observant Jews don't randomly attack Arabs. Rabbis who incite violence should be arrested before more innocent people suffer as the result of their invented, misguided "torah" lessons.
24. Yeshiva students in Israel
Harold ,   USA   (04.11.14)
IDF must not step on Yashiva students' tail. There are more than 120 thousand Yeshiva students in Israel and can creat huge problems to the country.
25. Extreme non-Torah values. Good.
JP   (04.11.14)
Get back in line.
26. Victims of Mystical Nationalism
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (04.11.14)
They think that we living in at beginning of the ultimate Redemption and have given themselves the right to act above the law. They are idiots and have to be restrained. Moreover, their teachers and rabbis have to stop preaching their false messianism.
27.  #5 & 7 Surprise, surprise...
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.11.14)
They have already been released. SHAME!
