1. If the filmmaker wanted a little "realism"...
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (04.24.14)
... the filmmaker would have one of the "poor unfortunates" showing up at his checkpoint try to knife the soldier or set off a "bomb". This is just left-wing guerrilla theater dressed up as "reality".
2. So what?
Igor ,   Germany   (04.24.14)
My father-in-law comes from a communist country. His uncle moved to Israel when he still could, while his father stayed. The brothers and their children could not even exchange letters, let alone visit each other until the collapse of communism. And no, Israel hadn't been sending human bombs or firing missiles at that communist country.
3. They are all left wing actors. I was there
Karin ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (04.24.14)
I was there with my friends. All the people in the video are left wing actors not real people. They where all talking to each other before and after the taking the shot about how good it looks. I was there with my friends and we also confronted them but looks like they edited that part. I don't believe ynet posted this propagenda
4. Like on this board, really, really.
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.24.14)
Those who shout the loudest that Arabs are our enemies are really, really for peace and coexistence. And it is I, who is really, really for peace and coexistence, who is called daily "an idiot" and hated by this New York attorney who is a daughter of holocaust survivors. What a crazy world it is, really, really.
5. In the same spirit: poor Germans suffered immensely during
tom ,   tel aviv   (04.24.14)
the end of WW2. The bombing of Dresden just to name one. Not to mention the very-very poor Japanese and the Atom Bombs! Revisionist, Leftist -Lunatic rewriting of History at it's finest. There is after all NOTHING that cannot be twisted into the very opposite by "slight of the mouth" spinning... Nice try, comrades! What's next: "Rachel Corey" at the Opera?
6. Narrative
(04.24.14)
This is narrative. Rose made a fictional play about checkpoints, soldiers and civilians. He could have dressed his actors as UK soldiers in Ireland or French soldiers in Mali, but decided on a Jew and an Arab because he could get the most money for it. So what we have is a poorly written, directed and acted (especially the maudlin tears) fictional play about a checkpoint that would get a C- in High School. The only problem is that Rose tries to pass off his fiction as a possible truth, and then he starts believing that this fiction is truth. That is called narrative.
7. #3 Thank you, Karin!
GS ,   Germany   (04.24.14)
I'm glad you could witness this little (let's call it) "drama". Thank you for sharing the truth. / Seems those actors never heard of knife attacks at checkpoints (If it would be that "only"!). Even a 15 year old girl tried to stab soldiers. Sometimes these young arab woman try to escape oppression in their own families and prefer to spend some time in israeli jail. I think the real drama with that 15 year old girl happened 2009 in Yerushalayim. (Not sure, because there were so many incidence of that sort). Many many arabs wanted to "visit sick grandma only". Toda raba to all israeli soldiers on Israels borders and checkpoints: Kol hakavod!!! // By the way: Do not be THAT biased, Ynet.
8. Reality
Naftali   (04.28.14)
Ok, Itamar, now try the same stunt in Gaza but in reverse. Let's see if you can get away with it and don't get dragged behind a car. Ynet, don't we have enough of this crap at Haaretz?
