1. Not long before Israeli racism slams in his face
Yeoshua F. ,   N.Y   (04.24.14)
His ¨honeymoon¨ in the kibbutz unfortunately will not last very long. He will very soon discover that Israel does not permit him what it permits to it´s Jewish population. He will be denied entrance to public places due to ¨security reasons¨. He will be put through extreme difficulties in buying property and will not be permitted to buy land. No home owner will rent his house to him. He will not be accepted by ¨acceptance commissions¨ to live in the town or village he desires. He will be routinely arrested and disturbed by police for reasons that will not be explained. His relatives will be expelled from the land they inhabit for hundreds of years due to ¨trespassing¨. And of course, every second Jew he encounters will tell him that ¨Arabs in Israel live better than anywhere in the Arab world¨ and ¨you should thank us¨. Only then will he suddenly realize why his relatives ¨exiled¨ him.
2. "yeoshua", here's a story
mea   (04.24.14)
Once I was riding in an a Arab taxi. The driver and I had quite a long chat. We talked about perceptions of Israel, about hasbara, about truth. He then asked me why fewer tourist seem to come (this was a few years ago just before Arafat died). I told him how because of the leftist propaganda machine supported in US and EU campuses by (at that time) the Saudis and others, including Fox News, many people believe Israeli Arabs are a miserable lot and that they, along with all other Arabs including Bedouins, cannot be trusted, that they're all potential killers and people are afraid of Arabs. His face wrinkled deeply and his mouth turned down and he waved his hand across the windshield in front of him and said, "But I've lived here all my life!" He was a good man who loves Israel, like many Arabs I know or hav met. Get a fucking life.
3. No Big Deal. Jews Served In German Army In WW2 Too
World Citizen ,   the world   (04.24.14)
Emil Maurice was 100 percent Jewish and was one of Hitler's best friends and adjutants during the early formation of the NSDAP right up until the end of the war. Hitler protected Emil from people like Himmler. This young man serving in the Israeli military is making the best of a very difficult situation. I just hope that he can bring a sense of justice and fair play into any unit he serves in. The Palestinian people and the Jewish must learn to live together. Anytime they can have the experience that they are all in the same human family it is good for everyone.

How you have described his treatment at his bedouin Arab village and his warm welome in his new home. Me thinks you got this reversed

who lives in kibbutz close to us. He worked there many years, he got married there and few year ago he was accepted as a member of the kibbutz. He is a lovely man. Adham might stay living in the kibbutz and find his happiness there. I wish him all the best.
7. #1 your malice and dishonesty are showing...
Zvi   (04.24.14)
He has already discovered that when fellow Arabs tried to beat his head in and fellow Arabs drove his family from their village, a Jewish family took him in and made him welcome, and his family moved to an area of Israel where there is more tolerance - whether a Jewish town or an Arab town is not specified. All his life - as with all Israeli Arabs - he has had Israeli national medical insurance and has been able to get the region's best medical care at state expense. Very little land in Israel is privately owned. Most of the land is owned by the State, which leases rather than selling it. So nobody has an easy time "buying land". But you knew that, didn't you? If he has the ambition, he can make a good career in the IDF, where some Bedouin rise to very senior ranks. If he has the marks for it, he will be able to attend university at the very best universities in the middle east, including the Technion, whose valedictorian last year was an Arab Muslim woman.

of somebody who never visited Israel and believes every piece of propaganda spewed by the Arabs and their BDS-allies. Never have I visited a public place in Israel, be it a restaurant or amusement park, without seeing many Arab families happily enjoying themselves. Yes, he will be put through difficulties buying property or land, just like every Israeli, Jewish or not, because buying Real Estate in Israel is a dreadful process, but this has nothing to do with him being Arab. Even if it desired to, Israel doesn't have enough police officers to routinely 'disturb and arrest' every single Arab citizen (2,5 million makes quite a few). Any Arab with a legitimate claim to his land supported by legal documents is protected by the system as much as any Jew. For instance in my neighborhood an Arab family refused an offer from the government to leave their decay house to make way for a new road, with compensation and all, and nobody forced them out. The road has been diverted and they still live there. So yes, Arabs should thank Israel for establishing a state where they are free to worship, express themselves, vote, get elected etc. Rights their brethren in the neighboring countries never had and probably won't have in the near future. It's scum like you that are frontrunners of modern-day antisemitism, or 'antizionism' as you like to whitewash it. The name changes but the essence is the same: spread damned lies about Jews and make the world believe there is no worse creature on the planet than the Jew. I cannot describe the disgust I feel for despicable human beings like yourself, especially because you make yourself believe you are the morally superior, while in fact you are nothing more than an ethically corrupt nouveau-jewhater.

Yeoshua F. ,   N.Y   (04.25.14)
The majority of land is owned either by the state or by ¨Keren Kayemet¨ and through weasly legislation has created a situation in which land is not sold or leased to Arabs. Furthermore, the Israeli state has an official and undeniable policy of ¨Judaising¨ areas such as the Galilee and Jerusalem and enabling land for ¨Jewish settlement¨. It´s legislators talk about it openly. Ethnic cleansing is being carried out throughout the country under several ¨legal¨ pretexts and even in lands not belonging to Israel under international law, were legally owned land is being openly stolen. Everything is recorded and documented on the internet. Your knowledge of how Arabs actually live in the Arab world is ridiculous and based on cheap propaganda that intends to portray Arabs as barbarians who cannot lead a civilized society. Across the Arab world, Arabs go to universities, walk around freely in shopping malls, buy houses and so on.. they don´t spend their lives running away from the secret police or plotting to kill someone. Israeli Arabs do not owe Israel anything, and do not need to thank Israel for allowing them to live.

Am inclined to agree with Yeoshua. Poor Adham will soon realise the perils of not being a Jew in Israel. Guess that was the reason why he couldnt get through in the Border Guards and is serving in possibly the Druze battalion.
13. "Yeoshua" #1
Jake   (04.25.14)
First of all, if you decide to post under a fake name, at least learn how to spell it. Land in Israel is NOT for sale to private individuals, neither Jew nor Arab. It can only be leased. As for the rest of your diatribe, you are dealing with hypotheticals. Deal with facts. The FACT that an Arab was exiled from his village for serving his country (Israel). The FACT that Jews can't move into Arab towns, though the converse is not true.
14. #3, Why do you lie when ithe facts can be verified
Jake   (04.25.14)
so easily? Emile Maurice was not "100% Jewish". That's nonsense. His great grandfather was Jewish. An exception was made for him, and he was declared an "honorary Aryan". NOT a Jew.

16. #10, "Yeoshua", More distortions
Jake   (04.25.14)
The Israel Lands Administration (public) is NOT allowed by law to discriminate in lease of land to Jews or non-Jews, but the KKL/JNF (Jewish National Fund), being private, IS, (just as the Islamic Wakf or land-owning Churches). However, the JNF does have an arrangement to lease land to non-Jews, via a land swapping arrangement with the Israel Lands Admin.

18. 3, Emil Maurice was 1/8 Jewish. I agree, Arabs, Jews must
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.25.14)
...unite, like Americas have. Jews must integrate, or repeat their "dwell alone" history forever, mass expulsion, and mass murder. "All SS officers had to prove racial purity back to 1750, and it turned out that Maurice had Jewish ancestry: Charles Maurice Schwartzenberger (1805–1896), the founder of Thalia Theater in Hamburg, was his great-grandfather. Himmler, who had always been jealous of Hitler's close friends since the party's early days (especially of the lack of control he had over Hitler's inner bodyguards), was delighted." -Wikipedia

Emil Maurice was Jewish through his great-grandfather. And he was only one Jew. You try to turn that into 100% Jewish, and that all Jews created the NSDAP. But facts don’t bend to wishes, even yours.

and not all of them, than I can´t compete with right wing supremacists. I wrote a comment explaining the difference between the Islamic Waqf and Keren Kayemet and it wasn´t published.
23. #10 yeoshua - careful
solomon ,   bklyn   (04.26.14)
you’re showing your abject ignorance again. It’s in Israel that arabs go to universities. And Israeli-arabs are better off than those forced to remain in camps by their arab “brothers”. Facts that you can’t stand.
24. #17 rau - no I don’t support occupation
solomon ,   bklyn   (04.26.14)
which is why the arabs should get out of the area. They first came in the late 600’s AD with the Muslim Conquest. More recently, they filled in the void, at the behest of Jordan, when the Jews were kicked out in 1947. And until the 1960’s they insisted they were NOT Palestinian (emphasis theirs). They should leave and end the occupation.
