Israel is not going to suspend settlement construction; Israel will not drop its quid pro quo for "Palestinian" recognition of the State of Israel as a Jewish state, and Israel will very definitely not negotiate with any "Palestinian" entity that includes Hamas. Hamas, after all, is internationally recognized as a terrorist organization. The "Palestinians" are about to lose all their funding because of this latest ridiculous charade of "Palestinian" unification. And it isn't just Fatah and Hamas. There are at least twenty-eight additional terrorist organizations among the "Palestinians;" Abbas does not speak for them all. Abbas is a master at painting himself into a corner. This is just the latest version. All his machinations and trickery have not brought him any closer to an independent "Palestinian" state -- which would collapse under its own weight in any event -- yet he keeps making the same mistakes, over and over again. Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. This time, I think Israel has really come to recognize the futility of it all, and will annex Judea and Samaria. Following that, the Arabs resident therein will either be repatriated to Jordan, country of their citizenship, or to their brand new BFFs -- Gaza. In Gaza, they can practice their newly rediscovered "unity" up close and personal. It's high time Israel washed its hand of that terrorist rabble.
