1. Proof that good people DO live in Hungary.

2. 5% Jews owned 50-90% of Hungarian industry, Obscene wealth
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.28.14)
"In the first few decades of the 20th century the Jews of Hungary numbered roughly 5 percent of the population. This minority had managed to achieve great commercial success, and Jews were disproportionately represented in the professions, relative to their numbers. In 1921 Budapest, 88% of the members of the stock exchange and 91% of the currency brokers were Jews, many of them ennobled. In interwar Hungary, more than half and perhaps as much as 90 percent of Hungarian industry was owned or operated by a few closely related Jewish banking families." -Wikipedia, History of the Jews in Hungary
3. Steve, your jealousy is showing
R ,   Israel   (04.28.14)
So what Steve? So kill people for being successful?
4. Steve Benassi
miri ,   israel   (04.28.14)
I haven't the time or inclination to check all the figures you mention, but truly is that a reason to brutally kill ?
5. Nonsense. Budapest Owned Hungary.
JewsInBudapest   (04.28.14)
Budapest owned Hungary. About 50% of the population were Jews. There is no surprtse that the distribution of wealth was reflecting this. The technical innovators were mostly Christians, and the Teller generation came into life only after WWI. Many of the Jews converted to Christianity. The poverty among Jews was high in the 20s. The relationship between Jews and Christians was good until world war I. Prohaszka and co. then started the wild incitement and the nation committed genocide and suicide. It was a Christian based antisemitism, in denial of many of the positive traditions of the Hungarian kingdom, In denial of the Deak Ferenc reforms.
6. #2 I'm sure there would still be bedpans for a professional
A ,   Belgium   (04.28.14)
as yourself to empty, Benazi.
7. #2 "Just prior to President Obama's 2014 State of the Union
A ,   Belgium   (04.28.14)
Address, media[3] reported that the top wealthiest 1% possess 40% of the nation’s wealth." But that's not obscene, though, is it Benazi. Maybe you find that sort of income inequality acceptable and you are satisfied with your lot as lowly bedpan emptier, but than again, we are talking about the good ol' U S of A here and not Jews, who you are so eager to demonstrate your unashamed and ignorant hatred towards.
8. Impressive that
GS ,   Germany   (04.28.14)
so many hungarians joined the march/ demo. - Whatever: There is no future for Jews in Hungary, but a reason why the State of Israel was re-established. Why don't you take a break and leave beautiful Budapest for - let's say- a Shavuot vacation in wonderful Israel? I appreciate all what was done in Hungary for the Jewish Community in recent decades and surely a kind of revival took place among the younger generation. You can make Hungary a better place to live in, but the majority of non-jewish hungarians will still blame you for all trouble they have caused by themselves. Or you use your energy to help building the State of Israel. For yourself and your children. There is a reason why Herzl was born in the - allow me to say -heart of jewish Budapest. Remember him if you go the next time to Dohany utca. Most likely you yourself have a bit of Herzl inside of you. So, don't waste your ideas for Hungary. Bring your personal refreshed Herzl-Vision to the State he was longing for: Israel. Have a try: Come to Israel. Another short holiday can't hurt you. And if not for Shavuot: Israel is open and waiting for you 24/7.
9. To #2 Steve Benassi; E.Europe and Jews
RJUSA ,   USA   (04.28.14)
I've followed you for a while now and I can't quite figure out if someone fake posts as you or not because some of your comments have gotten less anti-semitic over time even if this one is a doozy. You bring up a point about Jews dominating certain sectors of the Hungarian economy due to their obviously higher IQ. And that's what it is: An obviously higher IQ. But should this subject the entire population to genocide? Is this an excuse for the Hungarians to massacre the Jews? Now, I can't imagine my ancestors living amongst the peasants of Eastern Europe. I really can't. But I can say with almost certainty that had the Hungarians treated the Jews well, Hungary would be a rich country, its people would be much better off and it wouldn't be dying as it is today (Total Fertility Rate around 1.0 for non-Roma). That's what's amazing: these Eastern European countries would be world powers had they kept the Jews. But they really don't care. They would rather have dying countries without Jews. It's their loss.

Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (04.28.14)
Obscene wealth is bad for economies, leads to poverty, and historically has led to revolt, and revolutions. And minority owned, Jewish, obscene wealth in Germany, and minority held, Jewish, obscene power in Russia, has lead to mass murder, the Gulags, the Holodomor 1932-33, WWII and the Holocaust 1933-1945.

And minority owned, Jewish, obscene wealth in Germany, and minority held, Jewish, obscene power in Russia, has lead to mass murder, the Gulags, the Holodomor 1932-33, election of well known anti-Semite Adolf Hitler in 1933, WWII and the Holocaust 1933-1945.
12. Hungarians: Welcome to Israel!
GS ,   Germany   (04.30.14)
You always knew how to live in dignity even under difficult circumstances and you, hungarian Jews, grew and became stronger. Exactly what Israel needs these days: Some of your bold, unique and strong ideas. Surely there is a bright future for you in Budapest and elsewhere. But in Israel you'll find a future AND a destiny. All the difficulties here? YOU are able to stand and handle even that. Welcome to Israel! No matter, if you are young or old, in good or bad physical condition, ... . Again and again: WELCOME!
