Actually, it's not all that simple. The virus is carried by camels and by bats. Mammals, not birds, the way SARS was. Also, wide-ranging. If you kill off the bat population, you'll have massive insect infestations. Camels -- well, hell, think of the Old West. If you stole or killed a man's horse, you were hanged. Same deal with camels in Saudi these days, except they prefer a headsman to the gallows. Also, you're operating on the assumption that the Saudi royal family cares. I'm not sure they do.
