China does things for ONLY one reason - improve the lives of Chinese people and having better relations with Iran will improve the lives of Chinese people. China has already received some technology improvements for he HQ-9/FD-2000. Iran is in production with their version of the HQ-9/FD-2000 With limited deployment, which is why the IDF, USN and USAF have no desire to attack Iran. China has been a major regional & global power for most of the last 5000 years so it is NOT afraid of the US, Russia of Israel.

For example, unfortunately, still those countries have a criminal dictatorship. Instead of a relationship now, those 2 countries first better can democratize within their territories.
