Or MAJOR Ala Wahib, the highest ranking arab officer in the IDF, who was recently decorated by President Peres? In fact, why don't you learn what the word actually means before tossing it around like garbage in your posts.
10. In the United States ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.06.14)
... we do not fund institutions that mourn the collapse of the Confederate States of America. We do not fund institutions that seek to glorify the American Nazi Bund (and, yes, there are such institutions). Why should Israel support organizations and institutions which actively propagate the so-called "Naqba?" Especially since what these institutions and organizations disseminate bears little, if any, resemblance to the truth. I hear tell "Naqba" is riotously celebrated in beautiful downtown Gaza City. Move there, and celebrate your heart away. Y'all don't come back now, hear?

I suggest you look up the definition of apartheid. Israeli Arabs vote, hold public office, have positions of prominence in the judiciary and on university faculties, and own thriving businesses. They can live anywhere in the State of Israel that they choose (which is not the case for Israeli Jews, who are not permitted to live in Arab villages -- by village decree; not Israeli government decree; that meet's the definition of apartheid, by the way). But wow! With such "oppressive" apartheid practices supposedly existing against Israeli Arabs, one does wonder why they haven't picked up lock, stock and barrel and moved to such Arab "paradises" as the "Palestine" Authority and Gaza. Are they dumb, or what? Don't know -- and really don't care -- about your gun, sluggo, but I can tell you that you have an even tinier brain than I thought to be the case. I suspect it's smaller than that of a goldfish. Poor, poor, pitiful -- and stupid -- you.

You are telling lies to those who don't know the true face of Israel. I say No, Arabs in Israel cannot live anywhere in the country. And Yes, Jew don't want to live in Arab towns because it lacks infrastructure and institutions. Simply put. Yes Arabs pay taxes. Don't throw another BS of yours on the readers.
19. To: No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.06.14)
Really? So, where are the six million dead "Palestinians?" Where are the gas chambers? Where are the crematoria? As to "Naqba" -- every Arab can produce a rusty old key to a non-existent home and a fanciful tale about luscious fruit orchards and vineyards and olive groves that did not exist until the Jews planted them, but where are the land deeds? Scores of Jews can produce those, dating back hundreds of years to Ottoman times. The Arabs who make their fanciful claims cannot produce jacksh*t and have told the same tired lies for so long, they've come to believe it themselves. Just the way they've come to believe that they are the true Palestinians, when a simple check into both Ottoman census records and census records during the Mandate period reveals the truth: only the Jews have ever been considered Palestinians -- Arabs have always been considered to be "Arab" or "Bedouin." The truth may hurt, but it is not racist. Comparing Holocaust denial with demanding that the truth be told about the so-called "Naqba" -- in which 99 percent of the Arabs who left were VOLUINTARY quits -- is, on the other hand, both despicable and racist. But you like to fashion the truth post facto, don't you? If the facts don't match what you think SHOULD have happened rather than what DID happen, then you have no problem whatsoever fashioning a "truth" which marches in lockstep with Arab fantasy. And you wonder why you are so widely ridiculed? Wonder no more.
20. Israel funding nakba day?
Barney ,   USA   (05.06.14)
The most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Traitors should be fined or expelled for celebrating
21. To: No. 18
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.06.14)
Fact is, sluggo, 90% of Israeli Arabs do NOT pay municipal taxes, which is the largest single tax bite on Israelis. Another fact of which you are clearly unaware is that Arab towns enjoy the same infrastructure as non-Arab towns. Moreover, some Arab towns in the Galil are lovely, and Jews have tried to buy homes, and have been told in no uncertain terms that they are unwelcome and would be burned out. By contrast, Israeli Arabs are not prohibited from living anywhere. Simply put, Israeli Arabs enjoy all the rights and privileges of citizenship, although very few of the obligations, such as compulsory military service and municipal taxes. So, Allan the A**hole, do a little research before you post utter drivel. Unless, of course, you'd rather I tear your arguments and "facts" to shreds. I have a pretty good record on that account .... yet you keep coming back for more. More fool you.
22. #1 - how exactly is it apartheid....
William ,   Israel   (05.06.14)
to block funding for facts manipulated for a personal sectarian agenda by a part of the population who identifies themselves as one unique ethnicity....and to support seditious acts that translate even to threats against their own people should they support the State and want to join in the Army or National Service? If anything, this is leveling the playing field for all. Many countries around the world ban such seditious activities and are not branded as "apartheid". By such logic, you show you practice racism.
23. #7 - grabbing at straws, aren't we Steve?
William ,   Israel   (05.06.14)
Trying to equate a systematic genocide of an entire people based on religion with a manipulated narrative by a population who LOST a war of genocide they started but still got to remain in the country as equal citizens....is nothing short of intellectual dishonesty and racism. You and I know very well the Holocaust was pre-planned, very systematic, and well-documented, to remove an entire population from the face of the Earth. The Nakba story, and it is just a story, claims an ethnic cleansing which never occurred. Infact, today's narrative deviates greatly from documented reality in 1948, including the meaning of Nakba. Today, it claims theft and ethnic cleansing...in 1948, it meant "humiliation by Arabs they lost to the Jews". It's one thing to mourn it as a turning point for Arabs who claim to be "Palestinians" - losers for starting a genocidal war and continuing to do so, and another to claim people who ran from a war-torn area, most because they were frightened by fake stories by the Arab Higher Committee were actually :ethnically cleansed". Want a REAL Nakba? Try the Arabs acts of 1949 in West Bank and in the 1950s by ALL Arab countries against Jews.
24. #18 - Allan the Troll
William ,   Israel   (05.06.14)
You're in the US, Allan. Ever been to Israel? Ever visit an Arab village? Most on this site are native Israelis and we know for a fact Sarah B's comments are FACT. Get used to it. There are times when a Jewish worker can't even do their job in an Arab village without police escort. Sounds more like Watts or the Bronx, no? It is absolutely true that Arab villages have a decree barring Jews. For Jews who do try to move into an Arab village, not only are they attacked by locals but also Leftists who call them "settlers" and claim the city must remain "all Arab"....while also claiming they are against apartheid and racism. Huh?? And yes, Arabs can live where ever they want inside Israel, BY LAW. Only a few court cases were created by Arabs...who wanted to move into private communities, which even bar most Jews. It's a private community, they can do that, just like similar private communities in Florida or elsewhere. Do Arabs pay taxes? Yes, they do - but to a much lower percentage of the population than do Jews who take the majority burden financially. But Arabs DO take a large portion of State services. Not exactly equal. The most corrupt towns in Israel are Arab. When the State created a plan to take over failing villages to fix them financially, the mixed Jewish-run towns agreed and accepted financial over-sight. Some Arab villages in the Galilee not only rejected it but promised (threatened) violence by the entire population should it come under State financial oversight. Very telling! Them's the facts, whether your racist mind wants to accept it or not.
25. #1 is pure Arab mentality
Avram Goldsmith ,   Toronto, Canada   (05.06.14)
1. If the are under non- Muslim authority: - no loyalty and respect for host country - will abuse as much possible the system and if reaction of judicial system is week will try to take over 2.Under Arab/Muslim authority: -dictate of: - theocratic system which lead to radicalism and jiad movement - military system: civil war and destruction Conclusion: Strong legal system with vigor punishment for perpetrators, and Nakba should totally OBLITERATED AND PERPETRATORS SHOULD SEND TO ANY Arab COUNTRY WHO THEY CHOOSE.IT
26. Israel should support Nakba day, IF
sidney ,   usa   (05.06.14)
The Arabs are required to tell the truth. They, their leaders, other Arab countries, not Israel caused the Nakba. In 1948, they had a choice, live in a recognized nation of Palestine or forgo that in order to destroy Israel. After they lost the 1948 war, there were two choices, create Palestine on the other side of the green line or have Transjordan and Egypt, their real enemies, grab the land for themselves. Now, 66 years after they could have live d in a prosperous nation of their own, they still want to destroy Israel. If they want to know who created the Nakba, let them look in the mirror.
27. Ynet has upped the number of

Arabs who left in 1948. The actual number was 560,000, and we didn't throw them out. Secondly, "Nakba" Day should be outlawed. Thirdly, why does Ynet keep running the anti-Semitic postings of Steve Benassi? finally, Ynet is becoming more and more like Haaretz.
28. Nakba Day
steve a ,   manchester england   (05.06.14)
Here is a question for Israel's arab population. If a Palestinian state came about .just how many of you would go & live there ? I reckon ,less than 5 %. Must be terrible for them living in Israel therefore !
29. Israel is no apartheid!
Muhammad Gadir ,   Haifa   (05.06.14)
Imagine arabs living not in a dictatorship but in a western democratic country, and are 20% of the population. And this country is surrounded by 300 million arabs, the brothers and sisters of its arab citizens, in 22 states with which it is in conflict and even state of war . Question -do you think the arabs in this country would get the same treatment as are getting the israeli arab citizens, would they be judges in the High Court, doctors and managers in hospitals, professors in universities, high rank officers in the police and army, players in the nationali soccer team?
30. Nabka Day is a tool of Arab propaganda !
