1. Lieberman quit complainng
David ,   On this planet   (05.06.14)
Israeli Leaders blame the US, blame Europe and every one in this world , except them self. They keep screwing up, they listen to Israeli dreamers and screw up more they don't keep their promises . If you can't lead, just go home
2. PA just means PLO
Wally Right ,   New Zealand   (05.06.14)
It was always the terror group PLO, the alleged division between hamas and fatah was a chimera of the elites and their journo-shmourno poodles. Normal-thinking people never bought into the claptrap even though they had to read about it for decades...
3. First there will be a new bloodbath between Fatah and Hamas
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (05.06.14)
4. Lieberman and Hamas
Harold ,   USA   (05.06.14)
I am neither a Palestinian nor a Muslim and I don't care what they do but Lieberman should know that Hamas' Prime Minister was elected democratically at the presence of Jimmy Carter and many other dignitaries Abbas was selected by the West Bank Palestinian residence. I am sure Hamas wins if an election takes place today.
5. We expect Int. Com to demand Israel comply with UN res
lydia ,   Brisbane   (05.06.14)
Israel exists ONLY within its own unilaterally decl borders. Borders recognized within Int. Law. Abbas consistently rejects Israel violation of Int. Law Israel has used 60Y of peace talks to steal more Palestinian land.
6. all of a suddden they are united
CJK   (05.06.14)
who gave them this idea?! the obama regime blames israel for everything.
7. To No 4
Josh ,   Tel-Aviv   (05.07.14)
Hamas PM democratically elected for how long, please? Forever? Will there be new election? How long has Abbas been PM? 10 years? It sounds more like a dictatorship. Independent candidates? Or this is a one-off, and then 99% will vote Abbas/Haniyeh always, like everywhere else in the Arab world? Have some honesty. And Jimmy Carter, oh Jimmy Carter...

Madeleine ,   Israel   (05.07.14)
You are extremely naive. don't you know that the Moslems - at their own admission - use the democratic process to get elected and then proceed to impose their own tyranny, as has happened in Gaza. Ask the ordinary people in Gaza what freedoms they have, other than the freedom to become suicide bombers, martyrs, murderers and terrorists.

What the international community calls Israel's borders are not, never were, borders inthe true legal sense. They are an armistice line, the line where the fighting - wars initiated by the Arabs and lost by them - stopped, first in 1948 and then again in 1967. When Britain created the sstate of Jordan in the 1920s as a Jew-free homeland for the Arabs of Palestine, the Jordan valley was the border, i.e.all of Judea and Samaria remained in Jewish hands. then came the partition plan which you lot rejected, so legally, Judea and Samaria are still Israel's. You Arabs wail and whine and wait for the world to put money in your coffers instead of doing even half of what the fledgling Jewish state did to bring in its peoples and build a home. Your leaders have left you to be political pawns and have no intention of changing things.
10. Just WHAT is Abbas up to
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (05.07.14)
First he sucks up to Haniyeh in Gaza, now he travels like a poodle to seek an 'audience' with Fancy Boy Mashaal.... Have Hamas got him tied to their strings? How comes after all the effort, the drive, the success, the sacrifices of Palestinians in the West Bank and Diaspora - so close to Statehood in the West Bank - that suddenly out of the blue - this tired worn out old man wants to hand all that to a bankrupt and corrupt Hamas on a plate? If Abbas is not careful - he might be getting some street cred with Hamas but he is beginning to sound like hes doing so at the cost of betraying the Palestinians of West Bank and the Diaspora
11. 97% drop in rockets means Hamas adopting non-violence
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (05.07.14)
3 not mine.
12. Be VERY THANKFUL if it is only Hamas that takes over.
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (05.07.14)
Be real careful what you wish for because Israel could have a far, far worse future than Hamas. The REALITY is Fatah has failed and will be replaced by either Hamas or MUCH WORSE. Fatah failed because Israelis were stupid and refused to negotiate because they think they can win every war from now until forever. BUT that is NOT how power works, eventually EVERY military power suffers massive humiliating defeat. Israel should have worked with Fatah. Now Fatah will be replaced by Hamas and if Hamas fails, they will be replaced by an even more belligerent leadership. When moderation is not rewarded, belligerence follows.
13. # 4 Jimmy Carter....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (05.07.14)
our worst president ever until Obama took the title.
