1. Since the govt is full of spineless jelly fish

it makes perfect sense to take the PA to court and get the money back, plus court fees and interest. The IEC waited long enough and the PA has done little to show a willingness to collect fees from its own people let alone pay its bills. Must be years of living in a welfare society that's made them this way.
2. "They halted negotiations after unity deal"
William ,   Israel   (05.13.14)
What that says is the PA-Hamas govt now has NO intentions to pay their bill at all. What I can't figure out is why the lawsuit is only for half of the owed amount. The PA has plenty of money to pay its bills. All they have to do is stop paying prisoners, terrorists, and cronies in PA police institutions with EU funds. They'll have this paid back in no time.

The agreement under oslo was Israel supplied the electric the PA collected the money and handed it over to israel. The palestinians believe they are entitled to free electricity, the PA not wanting to rock the boat doesn't collect the money or pay the bill. To avoid damaging the peace process successive Israeli governments turn a blind eye and tell IE to write it off. IE has to cover their cost so the solution is they increase prices so the Israelis who can be cut off if they don't pay their bills pay the price of free electric for the pals who don't believe they should have to pay bills. This is the best news heard all day now I just hope they win and get the money.

I assume Australia, if you don't pay your utility bills, your utilities are shut off until you do...no electricity, no water, no gas, no nothing. No if's and's or but's about it. However, there is nothing "normal" about a country who releases terrorist murderers as a "good will gesture" to the parasites who don't pay their electric bills.

The PA can't go to the ICC without all being charged themselves for terrorism. This is a civil matter between two companies and you are confusing the issue.
11. #8 - PA will be hard-pressed to avoid blow-back
William ,   Israel   (05.15.14)
Launching war crimes and terror, and running a corrupt govt often has the effect of hurting an economy. The proof will come by comparing pre-intifada and post-intifada economic and employment numbers; and the pre-Hamas takeover of Gaza and post-Hamas takeover there. Then, the PA will be asked to explain where the billions in global aid went. Then they'll be asked why laws passed to block Pallys from working in settlements when the PA refuses to produce comparable jobs, in both salary and conditions. Then, Israel can counter-sue the "Palestinians" for the damage to their economy, both because of violence and the Arab lawfare activities, and the necessary increase in funds for security activities such as the wall which has brought terror attacks inside Israel to a near stand-still. One trick with the ICC - if you go with a narrow mandate and hope they will avoid looking at the whole situation, you're in for a rude awakening.
