Recently a Malaysian Air plane disappeared with several Iranians on board with stolen passport. The plane had a large quantity of lithium on board in the form of batteries (absolutely forbidden in passenger airplane because of fire hazard). Lithium is essential to fusion bomb detonations, and the embargo has nearly stopped lithium imports by Iran. Is the plane's disappearance related to Iranian need for lithium for their nuclear program?
