Let us hope and act, that it can remain to a military, defense exercise and that war and destruction can be avoided, in an action for liberty, freedom, prosperity and peace, for example. Also, Israel, forever, ever and always!

Iran won't give up its quest for nuclear weapons, so there will be war.

Everybody has the/a right to her/his own opinion and thought (in this/that case, peacefully and correctly). For example, also, Israel, forever, ever and always!

Probably, but not because the United States recognizes the need to stop the Islamic Republic. At some point, being far too cowardly to take on Israel directly, Iran will lob a missile or two at a United States asset; most likely a naval vessel in the Gulf. Then, the U.S. might do something. To date, however, the United States, along with the European Union, are perfectly content for Israel to do all the heavy lifting. Iran will never target Israel; they know what will happen. It will probably come as a great surprise to the United States that should Iran indeed take action against a United States asset, Israel will in all likelihood sit on the sidelines and watch. Israel has been cleaning up the messes of the United States long enough. Israel has more than done its share to counter the Iranian threat, both on the ballistic missile front and on the nuclear front. Why should we shoulder the entire burden? Didn't we already do enough when we took out the Osirac reactor and the Syrian reactor? Israel deserves to rest on its laurels. If the United States wants to be the big dog in the region, go for it. Israel has more than done its share.
