1. blockade on goods in
chris (munich)   (05.24.14)
The claimed reason for the blockade is stopping weapons coming in. But stopping goods going out is harder to justify, and just strangles the economy. No wonder it is rarely mentioned by Zionist apologists.

I assume they teach geography in Istanbul, so look at a map: Hamas could have received all their supplies through the border with Egypt that has nothing to do with Israel. Now answer, why did Egypt blockade Gaza under Mubarak, the Brotherhood and Sisi?
7. Tighten the blockade!
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (05.24.14)
Glad another pig shit IHH member died. Just reward for any terrorist. Israel should have commandeered the ship, jailed the 'activists' and sued for additional damages to both Erdogen, who's responsible fro this gross folly, and the nation of Turkey for allowing him to break international maritime law UP YOURS TURKEY AND... WHY DO ANY JEWS VISIT THAT CHEAP HELL HOLE AT ALL? NO PRIDE?. SAVE YOUR MONEY DON'T SPEND IT WITH YOUR ENEMY.!!!!
8. Blockage
Edouard ,   Canada   (05.24.14)
Very poor argument Germain of today are not responsable for past genocide again Jews an others This blockage is good and neccesaire Palestinians in GAZA are trying to destroy israel If it would be up to me I would retaliate with much more force Israel is too kind with this fanatics They are part of the Arab world They should be going to an Arab country ,not is israel land and country of the Jews We need place for the Jews that are about to arrive from the antisemitic countries It is always the same thing ,very 50 years or so the Gentiles feel that it's time to kill Jews What ever the reasons are

BUILD BABY BUILD!!!!   (05.24.14)
It wasn't an argument it was a condemnation and a good one at that. Germany has the worst human right abuses during any war time conflict and no German should have the balls to criticize any Jew or Israel for that matter seeing as how the Germans agreed to slaughter 6 million Jews, among others. Germans should stick to eat pork sausages and drinking beer. They aren't good for much more than that. BUILDING A MIGHTY ISRAEL !!!

It doesn't matter if the MAVI MARMARA were attempting to smuggle baby chicks. The fact of the matter is that Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip is fully legal and internationally recognized. The Palmer Report -- commissioned, by the way, by the United Nations at the request of Turkey -- confirms the legality of Israel's blockade. The MAVI MARMARA made a deliberate, state (Turkey) sanctioned attempt to violate the blockade. That is an illegal act. You pays your money; you takes your chances. Of course it was just grandstanding by the Turks. No matter. It was illegal. The MAVI MARMARA and all aboard her are extremely lucky that Israel didn't simply blow her out of the water. That, too, would have been fully legal. It is a crime to attempt to violate a fully legal and internationally recognized blockade. The cargo (or, in the case of the MAVI MARMARA, the lack thereof) aboard any would-be blockade runner is entirely irrelevant. That's why it is rarely mentioned. Back to the drawing board for you, sluggo! Take a crash course in admiralty (maritime) law before making broad, inaccurate statements. You'll look a lot less stupid.

Darren Ben John ,   Townsville Australia   (05.24.14)
Which international countries fully recognize Israel's blockade on Gaza? And attacking a civilian ship in International waters is not legal. The IDF are now responsible for the murder of TEN activist civilians. I can post the manifest of urgent medical and other supplies on board the Mavi Mavara if you like. When are the IDF et al going to release the footage taken on board that they confiscated from cameras and phones, or are they too scared to reveal the truth??

Wrong. The blockade...IS [for] preventing the ...smuggling of weapons. "Israel says" demonstrates doubt, and there is none.
16. #1, export from Gaza?
Jason ,   nahariya   (05.24.14)
The only export from Gaza is terror and they export tons of it. When you crack smoking Germans take your collective heads out of your derrieres you will discover that arabs like to murder anyone. all you must do is look at Syria!

DavidR ,   USA   (05.24.14)
Yes Daren, Would you please post that alleged manifest. I am calling your bluff! Release it along with the proof it is real. As for footage, Israel has released footage showing their troops being assaulted. Is that what you wish released again?

solomon ,   bklyn   (05.24.14)
Attacking a ship trying to break a legal blockade IS legal and is also preferred, as actions outside international waters creates questions relating to sovereignty. "Civilian" or not. And a boat load of terrorists is not "civilian". Five other boats were part of the flotilla, and NOTHING happened to those passengers. And all the boats carried few medical supplies, all outdated. You lose.
20. To Sarah, #11
Katie ,   London, England   (05.24.14)
You say with great confidence that "Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip is fully legal and internationally recognized." but this is misleading. I believe the US considers it legal, but many don't, eg From Reuters: “… independent U.N. rights experts reporting to the U.N. Human Rights Council [said] the blockade had subjected Gazans to collective punishment in "flagrant contravention of international human rights and humanitarian law." That doesn’t sound too legal. Also. UN envoy Desmond Tutu, United Nations Human Rights Council head Navi Pillay and the International Committee of the Red Cross … consider the blockade illegal.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.14)
Darren's problem is that the cargo aboard the MAVI MARMARA consisted of around ten carton of expired over the counter medication and six mouldy old blankets. The MAVI MARMARA has no holds. It is not a cargo vessel. The entire escapade was a giant embarrassment for Turkey. That's why they fought so hard to get a United Nations investigation going -- they succeeded, and what issued was the Palmer Report, which fully exonerated Israel, and underscored the fact that the blockade of the Gaza Strip is both fully legal and internationally recognized. Turkey's just annoyed with Israel because Israel won't share it's two huge natural gas fields with Turkey. Why should Israel? It's an Israeli discovery. Turkey just needs to accept the fact that their fanciful plans for natural gas export from Russia and Iran are dead in the water. Poor, poor, pitiful Turkey. So close, yet so far away. Israel's economy is about to soar through the roof, and Turkey's is circling the bowl. Tragic; truly tragic. For the Turks. For Israel -- not at all.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.14)
The Palmer Report settled that question. The answer is 193 nations, all the member states of the United Nations. Attacking a blockade runner attempting to thwart a fully legal and internationally recognized blockade of the Gaza Strip is ALWAYS legal. Israel could have blown the MAVI MARMARA ship clear out of the water. That, too, would have been fully legal, as was Israel's raid on the MAVI MARMARA. The IDF is under no obligation to release anything acquired in the course of a military raid. That said -- when is Australia planning to release the footage showing the massacre of 10,000 civilian East Timorese, shelled by the Australian Navy, because they THOUGHT they were shelling Indonesian positions? Hmm? Too scared to reveal the truth. That's certainly understandable. While thwarting the illegal aims of a blockade runner is ALWAYS legal, the merciless shelling of civilians who have done nothing is NEVER legal. By the way .... killing terrorists and their supporters hardly qualifies as "murder." It's pest control, darling. Acquaint yourself with the difference.

(05.24.14)
Jason, the Germans do NOT have to look to Syria- they have educated, perpared lg time, paid and pampered the JIHADDISTs (= syrian REBEL groups, i.e. infiltrators, terrorists, killer-commands). THey have educated covertits and drugaddicted unemployed street- and drug-boxing-gangs as their JIHAD groups destroying SYRIA and normal syrian life + normal, moderate islam and its human beings - what for? To take the country (economy, politics, ressources, comsumerism) and to establish the black ULTRA ESLAM /see: fulfilling the NAZI's dream (ARIAN race and ultra islam ruling the world and sopressing all others-- look to socalled Arab Spring and CIA's doing) !! main Centre in Germania: city of COLOGNE and BERLIN and south region of Wuerttemberg/ next to Swiss and France. post script: The boxing-gangs seems to be their hit: Klitshko as their leading (german stationed) figure in Ukrainian NAZI movements and NAZI re-establishing. EYES UP, not dreaming!!
26. #21 Mavi Mavara freight
Darren Ben John ,   Townsville Australia   (05.25.14)
While the Mavi Mamara is a passenger ship it did carry 10,000 tonnes of freight stowed in varoius rooms aboard the ship. Of this, 2000 tonnes consited of medical goods including an electric wheelchair and other wheel chairs, operating microscopes, books, toys, electricity generators, operating theater equipment, medicines, medical equipment, textiles, footwear, cash, mobility scooters and sofas-hardly 6 x mouldy blankets and expired OTC medicines, is it? The images released by Israel only show what Israel wants the world to see-thir poor, defensless armed assault troops being "greeted" as they slid down ropes onto the decks. History shows that 9 Turks were killed, 5 deemed to be summararily executed at point blank range. As for your gas, Australian company Woodside Pertoleum have pulled out of the deal (worth 25% of the investment), leaving Israel without necessary expertise to export their stolen gas.

You keep banging on about this: "when is Australia planning to release the footage showing the massacre of 10,000 civilian East Timorese, shelled by the Australian Navy, because they THOUGHT they were shelling Indonesian positions? " I have never heard of this and can not find any info on the internet about it. Making things up again Sarah? And I keep telling you that I don't drink. Are you having problems understanding English?

Darren Ben John ,   Townsville Australia   (05.25.14)
You are wrong. Allo fthose on the other boats were beaten by the IDF and many had bones broken. They had their wrists fastened with plastic ties behind their backs and could not dfend themselves. these were journalists and foreign activists who practised passive protest, were unarmed and could not defend themselves. This brutal episode is not over yet by a long shot, and will be played out in courts. Again, the Isrealis have the cameras and SIM cards from the protesters-why don't they release the pics and vids from them? Because it would show what REALLY happened.
