Scar P ,   Tel Aviv   (05.28.14)
Netanyahu also talked about the future, about Construction, the need for investments, the economy, jobs, prosperity. The things mentioned in this article, important things, are all about the past and creates the image of a museum.
5. Jerusalem should never be divided but it's high time to
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.28.14)

12. the Holy City of David will never be divided
CJK   (05.28.14)
king david had built jerusalem, the seat of zion, and his son king solomon built the first jewish temple. the second jewish temple was built by returning exiles from babylon. jerusalem is mentioned hundreds of times in the torah and jews have been praying for jerusalem and for the jewish temples throughout the exile period. never will the jewish people give up the unified, consecrated, holy city of jerusalem, david's gift to ha'shem and to his people, israel, his namesake.
13. # 6 Funny that you mention that
Raptor   (05.28.14)
because the Crusaders also "liberated" the city. Salah a Din also "liberated" the city but once again the city is under siege, this time by a strange unknown entity with "Gothic" uniforms. Who will liberate it this time around ?
14. 7 not mine.
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (05.28.14)
15. SHOVE YOUR ARAB THREATS! It's JEWRUSALEM forever!
Jewishness ,   AMERICA THE BEAUTIUL   (05.28.14)
It is now called JEWRUSALEM for a reason. And it will stay that way forever more. Try going home to Jordan (80% PAL) FACE IT, arabs already have their capital- it's called MECCA. Go Take a bow ! The JEWS WILL ALWAYS OWN THE TEMPLE MOUNT and must clear off ALL the squatters, their debris, and their ugly grafted on buildings, This is THE primary Jewish holy site, not an arab teen camp or arab family soccer/picnic grounds. As far as "international concerns", it's all just the usual Islamist fundamentalist, (mostly islamist Iran/HEZ/Turkey etc.driven,) plus their usual load of anti-semitism and incited hate mongering... SO, Mr. PA spokesman, Take your perpetual "HATE THE JEWZ, BLAME THE JEWZ and your peoples endless ignorant raging and shove it !
16. never say never

17. the Temple Mount
Arulnathan Arokiasam ,   seremban   (05.28.14)
Al-Aqsa Mosque shall be taken down and shall be given to the rightful owners.
18. strange similarity
Dort Cucumber ,   USA   (05.28.14)
The "so called palestinians" have a strange similarity to the Jebusites in David's time who said to him regarding Jerusalem, "thou shalt not come in hither, thinking David cannot come in thither" ...2Samuel 5:4-6. Verse 7 of that chapter though informs us that David did take Jerusalem. Though these persistent thugs think they can take Jerusalem, not only the eastern part but all of it ultimately have a thing coming to them. Even dividing the land with these will have nasty consequences attached to it, Joel 2:1-2.
19. Not quite, Mr. Herzog
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.28.14)
"Opposition Chairman Isaac Herzog (Labor) criticized the government's policy regarding Jerusalem, and said it turned 'from a city that was supposed to be a symbol of multiculturalism and inter-faith dialogue to a political and diplomatic powder keg.'" No. The unification of Jerusalem turned East Jerusalem and its environs from a cesspool into a glorious golden city. Multicultural? I don't think so. It is the eternal, undivided capital city of the State of Israel and the People Israel. Christians and Moslems are, of course, welcome, as long as they behave. When they behave badly, they will start to lose privileges; they need to keep this in mind. Inter-faith? No. Unlike those who have controlled Jerusalem in the past, we will tolerate, and even welcome, other faiths, but no "dialogue." No "sharing of powers." We say jump; they say "how high?" I mean -- really. How many crèches with the Baby Jesus swaddled in a keffiyeh and Joseph's head wrapped in that unique Arafat (may his name be cursed throughout eternity) style should we tolerate before we draw the line? It ends now. Our city; our rules.
20. Words are cheap.
Gabe ,   Canada   (05.28.14)
Take possession of the Temple Mount and pray there. Touching supporting stones is not a substitution.
21. The usual horror threats from another empty suit.
MIGHTY JEW YOUNG ,   America is beautiful   (05.28.14)
"It is land we will steal from the JEWZ" simply by threats, with their perpetual raging, terrorism, inciting CRIMINAL TRESPASS, and getting the Int'l Islamist fundamentalists to CONTINUE TO wail and gang up on Israel IN ORDER to pressure it to ("GIVE US YOUR LANDS OR WE GO TO HAGUE< UN< ICC< and ALSO we will DRIVE you JEWZ OUT...") Remember: It will always be the JEWZ FAULT, no matter what! No matter how moronic, spiteful, hateful, arabs must always blame everyone else (the JEWZ) for their own manufactured misery, their skiiming leadership Despite the extreme depth of arab's blind ignorance, unashamed greed, the usual lies and political exaggerations, Hate driven cultural shallowness and whacko religious myopia, the arabs won't rest until their most desired outcome is reached - - a JEWZ free M.E.! Ain't gonna happen...NEVER AGAIN!
22. Jerusalem has never been divided throughout its more than...
N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (05.28.14)
3,000 years history, but for 19 years, during the illegal Arab conquest of some of its neighborhoods between the years 1948 and 1967. There is simply no reason to divide the city, as no other city in the world is divided artificially, and there is no reason why the Jewish people, that has been the ONLY people throughout history to have viewed Jerusalem as its capital city, should share it with anyone else. All are welcome to visit, worship in the city of Jerusalem. And, all: Jews, Arabs, Armenians etc. are welcome to reside in it if they are its residents of the city and citizens of the state of Israel. This is good enough for me.
23. IMMUTABLE ARAB/MUSLIM MINDSET
joyce fraser ,   USA   (05.28.14)
It's become evident, that the Arab and Islamic version of compromise and agreement, vis a vis their adversaries, is only to 'make it appear' to be fair and just. Are 'religious needs to win' by evoking "The God or Allah I-Told-You-To-Do-It Commandment" as the the right way to Dhimmify those who lie outside Arab/Muslim ethnocentric visions of "this world is ours to rule over all others?" Yes, it's that old "uber alles" attitude put into everyday practice, bringing back dread and darkness to our world.
24. To All Commentators
Harold ,   USA   (05.28.14)
As long as the Aqsa Mosque with its people and the Christian Churches with its people are there Jerusalem will always be divided no matter what Netanyahu and his followers say. None Jewish worshipers will always come to Jerusalem every year no matter what any Israeli leader and his followers say.
25. Go Bibi Go
(05.28.14)
Jerusalem Is, Was And Always Will Be JEWISH!!! Bibi should join with Bennett on this Idea, as well as Push Through on the subject of the Temple Mount Itself. Israel has been Jewish/Hebrew for Millennia and Jerusalem Has Been The Location Of TWO HEBREW Temples, why does isslim INSULT Judaism At Every Turn and expect Israeli's/Jews to respect isslim!!! RESPECT is a two way street, but it seems Jews More Often Always Take The High Road, arabs More Often take the LOW road and demand respect? Bullshit arabs will reap what they sow!!! Baruch Ha Shem
26. You forget that Jews are also divided
Harri ,   EU   (05.28.14)
When Jews are divided to Jewish descendants of ancient Jews and Muslim descendants of ancient Jews and Christian descendants of ancient Jews, it is only logical to share Jerusalem with those groups. What would G-d think if you throw half the descendant of David out of Jerusalem only because they think that Islam is the right way to serve the G-d? How can the secular Jews be sure that they are more loyal to G-d than religious Muslims or religious Christians?
27. can you trust bibi
marv   (05.28.14)
That he is better than lapid livni, herzog and gal on gives no comfort. Bibi is almost as gutless as olmert. 1) He warns livni via steinitz that she will be booted out if she violates gov't decisions about not meeting abbas. He doesn't have the guts to tell her face to face. 2) He stays quiet while that ignoramus lapid cuts the idf budget saying there is no obvious external threat. 3) He got shot as a commando. try to find out if the did anything of note in his commando days. i doubt it. I'm not sure he knew what he was doing. 4) he apologized to that lying stooge erdogan and he gives in to pressure from kerry and obama and he gives in all the time. So as for his promises about jerusalem, they are worthless. Likud, boot bibi out and now. Feiglin would be 1000% betteer.
28. The Jewish capital
Gita ,   Kibbutz, Israel   (05.28.14)
Of course Jerusalem will never be divided. What a question?!
29. To One Commentator: You still don't have a clue & never will
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (05.28.14)
30. Not opposing Jordan's seizure = no right to criticize Israel
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego USA   (05.28.14)
There was no such place as "Arab East Jerusalem" on any map anywhere before 1948, there was only "Jerusalem". The abject failure of the UN and the international community to stop or even object to Trans-Jordan's invasion of Eastern Jerusalem in 1948, its illegal annexation of eastern Jerusalem in violation of the UN Partition, its illegal occupation of this territory for 19 years, its dynamiting of every synagogue in the holy city and its refusal to allow Jews from the world over to pray at Jewish holy places - all permanently disqualify nations, the Pope and the UN itself from criticizing Israel's reunification of Jerusalem in 1967, after another unprovoked invasion by Jordan went badly [for them} and left the city again free and open to the world's religions. They had no problem with Jordan's illegal annexation, its destruction of all the synagogues, its exclusion of Jewish worshipers, but now demand a "solution" which consists of giving the terrorist cheftains of the so-called "Palestinian people" control over Judaisms one holy city. As part of this deal, will they also turn over half of The Vatican and Mecca to the Jewish sovereignty? Jerusalem is a Hebrew word, and that says it all. You never hear the term "Arab East Al-Kuds" in these demands, for the obvious reason. A state without any part of Jerusalem is the penalty the historic Palestine Arabs must pay for rejecting the Partition in the first place 65 years ago, and they aren't going to get even that without first recognizing the Jewish State of Israel, which the UN demanded of them in 1947.
