31. Oslo was abused to steal West Bank, right wing too dumb
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (06.01.14)
...to realize it.
32. Oslo coud have succeed
linda ,   Paris, France   (06.01.14)
I'm not leftist, but Oslo could have succeed if there wasn't Palestinian terrorism, by one side, and in the other Rabin's assassination, thanks to our own mad men. Chomsky is a self-hater, Brilliant people are not necessarily good politiciens, but good politiciens are better if they are brilliant, Where are our brilliant politiciens?
33. Outsiders
Raphael ,   Netanya   (06.01.14)
Without an insider's experience such as the sephardic Jews brought with them, being themselves part of the arab/muslim culture, self styled analysts tend to oversimplify and reason through ethnic clichés. You would find a description of the american society by a french newsman or politolog overly comic. So as the look of an arab intellectual into the israeli society.
34. Ask Yourself.....
Dan ,   USA   (06.02.14)
Do you know anyone, with even the smallest amout of common sense, that cares what Chomsky or Beinart think? I'll bet the answer is... no. The only reason Chomsky get's any press coverage at all is because he is so very far to the left like most of the media that covers him.
35. Leftwing Jews against Israel
Martin ,   NewYork USA   (06.02.14)
Alan Dershowitz professor at Harvard is one leftwing Jew who pro Israel and exposes the ignorance of some of the intelligentsia when they lie about Israel.
36. I would rather call it the ashkenaze intillegentia
Dovdevan ,   Tlv, israel   (06.02.14)
Let´s put the russian immigration apart because they lived under a dictatorial regym . In America the ashkenaze intelligentia struggled with the civil right mouvement what did they receive anti-semitismin in Europe they struggled for the rights of immigrants and against the racism what did they receive ? I think That the ashkenaze intelligentia think That they are enlighted people they disregard the little people as if they were primitive we experience it very well in israel
37. 24@ 100% right
Dovdevan ,   Tlv , israel   (06.02.14)
38. This is funny, Raphael it is your wonderful
Shachar ,   Eilat   (06.02.14)
lack of intelligence that allows you to believe you are right....about everything! Intelligent people, and not just scholars, want to change the sordid reality of endless bloodshed. The unintelligent are hell bent on preserving hatred and bloodshed. For the time-being we have more unintelligent people on both sides than intelligent....
39. Can't it just be . . .
Danny ,   London England   (06.02.14)
Can't it just be that Jewish 'intellectuals' feel a need to be accepted by their non-Jewish peers, who have tended to support the 'under dog' seeing the Pals as being oppressed by the big bad Jews? To us Israel is David and the Arab world is Golliath, but Arabs see it in reverse.
40. Self hating Jews
Hector ,   USA   (11.27.14)
There's an old saying: "the problem is of those that do not know what they don't know." In the case of these gentlemen mentioned in the article, and while they obviously have no clue about what muslims talk in their language, the language nuances and taqiyya, another saying comes to mind: "there's no worse understanders than those that don't want to understand." We should hope that they do not fulfill a similar role as the one performed by the Auschwitz kapos, that is that they are not opportunistic by being obsequious to Islam in the hope they will be spared. Israel can be criticized and should be but only by perfectly understanding its situation. Israel does not face just the Palestinians. The whole "islamic nation" backs the Gaza and S&J guys and all those nations are boiling now.
