as ben gurion apparently said, take 2 jews and you get 3 opinions. parliamentary debate is good. israelis have many opinions. Sometimes lessons of the holocaust and pogrommes are forgotten.israel must control its own security period. Lapid, livni, peres, gal on, herzog want to share it or trust 3rd parties notwithstanding past experience. Jews have had only 65 years to practise soveriengty and they are finding it hard to exercise. You have people like peres, livni and olmert, ehud barak, rabin to some extent and now bibi who look to the united states for everything and as bibi shockingly said, I cannot do one brick of building according to US orders. It never occurred him to reject obama's orders much as sissi, assad, putin have done. On the other hand, you have people like golda meir, ben gurion in his younger days, begin at times, shamir and sharon who could tell the united states to mind its own business. israelis have to be careful in elections to vote for people who will exercise soverignty and protect israeli interests and not vote for old labels and people who run to the united states on every little matter. Netanyahu is not a born leader, reveals an inner weakn ess and falls into the olmert, livni, peres, gal on and herzog camps of utter dependence and weakness. Was the holocaust an exercise in futility? What kind of garbage leaders do you continue to elect??!! Feiglin, shamir, bennett are the only hope for israel as it will be destroyed if herzog and lapid ever take the complete reins.
3. #2: I agree for RIGHT NOW

They are definitely better than our current PM - hopefully. But they are not enough for Israel's long run. We need much stronger leaders than them. Lieberman, for example disappointed me EXTREMELY.
