ban and the useless nations should mind their own business. ban and the useless nations should attempt to stop atrocities in sudan, iran, syria, lybia, afghanistan, nigeria, iraq, saudi arabia, mali, ect....
3. Great in theory
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.06.14)
But history shows wether its deliberate spoiling moves, genuine misunderstandings or gesture politics..how easy it is for Negotiations to be sidetracked and stalled But BOTH sides cannot by their controversial actions be allowed to HOLD THE NEGOTIATIONS TO RANSOM. That's why Negotiations have to continue and not be distracted by these almost constant irritations and nuisances But the bewildering paradox is that virtually every single one of the issues dividing the PA and Israel on the road to Palestinian Statehood on the West Bank, Israeli Security and Peaceful Reconciliation ARE RESOLVED...The issues are not after all Astrophysics..its plain and simple COMMON SENSE and NATIONAL INTEREST It just needs POLITICAL WILL And where theres WILL there is a WAY
4. The United Nations Organization and Israel
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (06.06.14)
For example, also, even, the U.N.O. knows, what Israeli territory was/is, between the river and the sea. Also, the Jewish and Israeli people, forever, ever and always! May G.d bless Israel (too)!
5. #3:Oh but dear Sammy-there IS a will:Islamofascist will to
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.06.14)
once and for all get rid of that blemish(Israel), on their otherwise homogeneous in it's cruelty & backwardness Islamic world of the Middle East. You simply are incapable of imagining someone NOT wanting to move forward into a free, democratic society, that's why you fall for "Arab Springs", "Syrian freedom fighters" other assorted inventions, that have no connection to the Islamofascist reality. Pity is all I feel for you & Bertram et.al....
6. Shut up your mouse, Ban! LOL
Israeli 2   (06.06.14)
Who in the rat-hole do you think you are?
7. What international law?
Goy ,   USA   (06.06.14)
What "internatiional laws" is Israel breaking? I say if you won the land in war, then build on it! There is historical precedence in all nations during the 6000 years of ebb and flow of nations boundaries, especially after war. And especially this land is non-soveriegn.

But you are wrong. Judea and Samaria are nonsovereign territories that were reacquired by Israel in the course of fighting a defensive war against Jordan. The land is Israel's to settle, retain and even annex. The "Palestinians" residing therein are not stateless; they are citizens of Jordan, courtesy of Jordan's 1954 Citizenship Law which irrevocably granted Jordanian citizenship to all West Bank Arabs and their progeny. Israel will annex Judea and Samaria, but will not offer citizenship to the "Palestinians." There are two options: repatriation of all West Bank Arabs to Jordan, or deportation to Gaza, where they can work REALLY hard at building their fictitious state. The international community, if they think these acts are illegal, should set an example. Poland should restore East Prussia and the Polish Corridor to Germany. France should return Alsace and Lorraine to Germany. Croatia should restore Istria to Italy, and the United States should return the 90 percent of Okinawa that is United States soil by virtue of Fort Buckner. Come to think of it, the United States should also dismantle Ramstein -- sovereign U.S. soil -- to Germany. There are consequences to waging wars of aggression, and losing. Germany knows; Italy knows; Japan knows -- as do a considerable number of other countries in the world. Why should the "Palestinians" be magically exempt from those consequences? They COULD have had their sovereign state in 1947, but chose to go to war instead. They went to war in 1967, and lost more territory. Stupid mistakes, they made, but you cannot undo history. There is absolutely no compelling reason to rewrite the rules that govern armed conflict just to accommodate a terrorist rabble whose goal has never wavered: the destruction of the State of Israel and the extermination of the Jews. Even if it is a goal shared by much of the international community. I guess the only thing standing in the way is a pretty savvy, technologically superior and militarily powerful State of Israel that has no intention of going anywhere. You'll just have to find a way to deal with it.
9. Maps are a very useful tool.
Jerusalem   (06.06.14)
To see maps, population densities and areas of land like Area A, B and C would be very helpful in forming opinions. Israeli or Palestinian, people look for the same kinds of things in life in general. Housing, food, clothing, medical care etc. are of the necessities that everyone will need to have. The system that can successfully manage this is what is needed. Population may have to be curbed some to ensure quality of life. Otherwise, debauchery will continue with less than adequate laws. Jacob is Israel, Esau is Palestine and Zion is the combination.
10. Netanyahu
(06.06.14)
Netanyahu should remind Ban that he supported the PLO when it took unilateral steps.
11. Ban urges sides not to take unilateral actions on the ground
George Weiss ,   Teaneck, USA   (06.06.14)
He must be confused. Did he not recently allow the PA to unilaterally apply to UN organizations which are not allowed under the Oslo accords?
12. To Sarah B., U.S./Israel, at No. 8.
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (06.06.14)
In principle, very right. For example, also the Gaza-strip, Golan-Heights, Samaria and Judea belong to Israel, from the river and the sea, PERIOD! "the present, entire "islam-Pals", better go/transport/repatriate immediately, directly to the "islam"-world, after having pre-paid for the one-way trip/emigration, to their fellow "islam"/Arab people. In that way, one problem/issue, which/that can be solved in a good and correct way. (Also), The/the Jewish and Israeli people, forever, ever and always! May G.d bless Israel (,too)!
