Is this real? It sounds like an action by a real country, real state with real standings. Anyway, Australia's position sounded pretty clear to me. This so called land was surrendered by Jordan for peace so it can't be occupied and it's Jordan's problem to repartate its refugees.

Bravo to Australia. Ramallah is the capital of the PA. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. Jerusalem is not occupied. It may be claimed by the PA (often along with the rest of Israel from the "river to the sea"), but that does not make such a claim valid. Arab and Ottoman conquest of the area was by brute force; while Israel is trying to resolve this in an orderly and lawful fashion, even when this may be a security risk, or a bad precedent. Compare how Israel treats Israeli Arabs to how the PA treats Palestinian Jews -- oops, there aren't any; there's that big red apartheid sign on entering Area A about the danger to one's life. For all the criticism about how Israel treats Arabs, any Jews who ended up in a Palestinian state would likely be summarily exterminated, and the international community would not care less. I think the best solution is to be practical, an autonomous Palestinian area with mutual respect of both sides and their respective capitals that are actually in use. Two countries claiming the same capital is a recipe for conflict, not resolution.

Israel acknowledges it occupation of Palestinian land outside its borders. Borders Israel UNILATERALLY declared as per the UN Partition Plan. Borders entrenched in the UN.

It was the "palestinians" who rejected partition, choosing to go to war instead. They lost. They started five more wars, losing all of those. Territorial losses and population transfers are part and parcel of the outcome of wars, chica. You cannot turn back the clock. The "palestinians" should have taken the deal in 1947. But they didn't, and the rest is history. The vanquished do not set the terms, nor do they write the rules. They have no choice but to accept the consequences of their decision to go to war, no matter how bitter. But cheer up!
