For more than 10 years there has been a campaign by Palestinians to stop performances in Israel. Those artists who care come anyway and do not bow down to the hate mongers out there. Others offer to do a show in Palestine too. Her backing out now would be like boycotting a show in London because the IRA attacked a Dublin police station. This is highlighted by her own words - if there is some financial backlash from trying to pull-out of her commitment, she will perform because she "cant' afford the legal costs involved in not performing". I totally agree with her moral stance to boycott Apartheid Israel. She's actually under more pressure to perform than not to perform. Once she became aware of BDS and Israeli's Apartheid policies she made up her mind not to perform. She didn't need any more convincing. Glad she's boycotting!!!
