1. Poor training leads to bad results
Daniel ,   Tel Aviv   (06.18.14)
The sad truth no call like this one can be dismissed as a prank. Not in Israel. Not in the USA. Not anywhere. But pranks must come with stiff enough penalties that to do so would be very grave indeed. These boys are in true danger because someone wasn't trained that there is no such thing as a prank kidnapping call. So let me be clear: NO kidnapping call is a prank. No bomb threat is a prank. No threatening the PM is a prank. At some level an investigation must be started. Save your judgement calls for other cases. This is not the officers fault it is the fault of those who trained the officer. I doubt however that the trainers will bear the weight of the responsibility.

Danino spent 100 days abroad, was busy to teach foreign cops how to answer the call...

Those kidnappers were so clever they managed to kidnap 3 Israelis from the spot that IDF had their drill prior to their abduction but not smart enough to co confiscate their phones that could lead to kidnappers ,... Honey I'm coming home, beam me up Scotty ,...

Just wait for my post :) ,... By the way they would be much better if they didn't call or text. You can be located by your phone as long as the batteries are in and working ,...
5. Fully responsible journalism would have included:

that typically the police receive dozens of calls per night from Arabs trying to mess with the police, from religious kids who pester the police and from teen pranksters and others such as the mentally ill and disenfranchised. Typically the police receive ten thousand calls that are pranks per year. So let's be fair for once to the police, who clearly could be reasonably excused for missing the single call that was serious in all of those calls. What needs to change is the protocol for responding to suspected kidnappings and other situations. In the future such calls should be sent along to the Shin Bet who will respond by making a contact with the caller--and if it is a prank, a severe penalty used. A national law could be implemented to cut off cell service to prank callers phones. A fine covering the cost of such responses could be issued against owners of numbers where they come from. In the meantime, cut the police a break.
6. Israel's Police
Alice ,   Israel/Canada   (06.18.14)
Police busy protectingArabs without regard to our youth . In the contrary, they are bashing ours for somme little things as drafiti and small other things. They are also busy chasing Jews from Ha Habayit.. Shame on you, Israel Police.

and then let t h e m call the police. That is what many youth did at the terrorist attack on a summer camp at the small island of Utoya in Norway in 2011. Still, also in Norway, the police was slow to respond.
8. Common sense would dictate
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.18.14)
that if someone "whispers" that he's being kidnapped, it would not be a prank call. Had it been a prank, they wouldn't have the sense to whisper so that the captives wouldn't hear. Whichever of the 3 boys made the call was very smart to do it immediately before the terrorists had a chance to grab the phones from them.
9. Why he said " I "? And not last place, number of people, name? - was he alone?!

LOL...i just read #3 and thought the same thing. there is all kinds of goofy stuff going on. i m ean, how hard can it be to identify the car...and isn't the area, the junction, isn't that an israeli only road...i don't know. me, i just tend to be analytical about it and it sure doesn't look like HAMAS, but it might get pinned on them if the bodies are found. anyway, i have admired your posts.
