1. This won't be first time Israel has bought "Iraqi" oil
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (06.20.14)
Back in the days of the British Mandate, oil from British-run Iraq was piped through Transjordan to the oil refinery in Haifa. Going through Turkey before being shipped is, by comparison, the long way around. But if Israel is buying Kurdish oil, it's a fitting start to a new relation. The Kurds were denied their own state after WW I, but demographics and changes taking place in the region will likely result in an independent Kurdistan in the near future.
2. Not a surprise...
Koose E Mack ,   NY USA   (06.20.14)
The Kurds see Israel as an ally and friend....So what's so bad about that?
3. For some reason Iraqis would rather sell to Israel
Miron ,   USA   (06.21.14)
than Saudi Arabia. Any comments why?
4. Money talks...BS walks
Al   (06.21.14)
Were Israel so piss poor as many would like to imagine, there would be need for this oil. As it stands, Israel is booming in its economy. In a tiny country such as Israel car density is reaching an all time high. That alone tells me that there is tremendous wealth to be had in Israel.
5. Good to see improving relations between Israel & Kurdistan
Free Kurdi ,   Israel   (06.21.14)
in this Arab infested region....
6. and this info was published for what useful reason?
Rafi ,   US   (06.21.14)
Apparently... to sabotage and stop future shipments via exposure and inevitable anger in the Arab world....
7. Playing footsie
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (06.21.14)
If this story is true or even partly true, it means that the Kurds are playing footsie with the Zionists and are thus betraying the Arab/Muslim cause for the total Liberation of Palestine (the Kurds themselves being Muslim). This game of footsie has to be stopped immediately.
8. Long Live Independent Kurdistan!
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (06.21.14)

12. well... if you had it you might had had a chance to drink...
Miron ,   USA   (06.23.14)
By the way, it's not uncommon for a drilling crew to "make it look" like drinking a bit of it, as a symbolic gesture of success.

17. eh?
tom ,   toronto, canada   (06.28.14)
"Italy has warned traders and refineries..."?! shouldn't that say "iraq" instead of "italy"? doesn't anybody at ynet ever proofread what they write?
18. #7 graczek" You betray the Muslim Cause!
Jim Yakamoto ,   My Country   (06.29.14)
You live in the USA, vilify and condemn Israel and Jews, while your country closes its eyes to the massacre of Muslims by Assad and ISIS and other Islamic miscreants! You live in the country which has the blood of 100,000 Iraqis, who knows how many Afghans and Pakistanis while you sprout hatred against Jews! Maybe Homeland Security should have a good look at you!
19. Assad built Syria universities, US paid to blow up those.
Miron ,   USA   (06.29.14)
Who is betraying people of Syria... Until we start looking at the liver of people from "that country" they'll keep gestapo checking our emails.
