Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (06.25.14)
send a message. 100 % response is in order if the fines are stiff for prank calls. grow some .........s.

(06.25.14)
He/they should be jailed for at least a year if not longer for these prank calls.
8. Put him in Army PRISON for a year.
David ,   Hartford USA   (06.25.14)
Then expel him from the army with lots of fanfare. All Israel should know what happens when you 'cry wolf.'

10. Pranks
Miriam Levy ,   Miami   (06.25.14)
What the IDF and Israeli Police should do with Prank calls is simply - respond to the calls (because that the time they are made no one can tell if it's real of prank) HOWEVER IF IT IS DISCOVERED THAT IT IS A PRANK 1. IMPOSE A STIFF FINE ON THE PRANKSTER (IF HE IS A MINOR - THEN THE PARENTS) 2. THROW HIM/HER IN JAIL. The Police in Miami will fine you if you call them and they discover that it was an error on your part (nothing was wrong) you get a fine and it keeps going up every time you do it. They fine you through the Real Estate Taxes, so they do not have to go after you, your taxes just keep going up.
11. # 4 I agree but 10 days....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (06.25.14)
is not nearly enough. Perhaps as a prank they should blindfold him and tell him they are releasing him in Gaza and see if he thinks that's funny. I think anything less than a year in prison would be to light. I have no sympathy for this clown.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.25.14)
I could not agree more. He should be in solitary confinement until the kidnapped boys are safely home. Then, he can serve out the rest of his sentence, which should be lengthy, as a disgraced FORMER soldier. With clowns like that on the loose, what do you suppose the IDF's reaction will be should a soldier be kidnapped, for real? The soldier's family should be made to pay every shekel that it cost to mount a search and put helicopters to use. Not cheap.
13. OberChuham: its about Parental Responsibility on all counts!
Jew-C ,   JewLandia   (06.25.14)
If you want this idiot to be punished severely for faking his kidnapping then you also want parents and children in the West Bank and Israel to take responsibility for encouraging hitchhiking in the first place! If the IDF forbids hitchhiking BY LAW for all its soldiers (whether in uniform or not), then the IDF is saying "my soldiers, my possessions (rehush tzahali) my responsibility! If the IDF forbids hitchhiking because they are taking responsibility for their soldiers then the parents of children living, studying or working in the West Bank need to take the same level of responsibility! That is 'your children, your possessions, your responsibility!"

Andre ,   New Jersey   (06.26.14)
Are you crazy? Listen, he is an idiot for doing it and should be punished for it. He should be checked up if he is mentally stable... but geez solitary confinement?? he is not a mass murderer, just a kid who made a really bad choice and is probably having some mental issues. Treating him, not punishing him (and definetely not solitary confinement), should be the answer.
