Fine combing the ground on a large scale, in combination with intelligence (interrogations) and overhead pictures (UAVs, satellites) and other technical means (heat seeking cameras et cetera) are what bring results. Had only the tens of thousands demonstrats put on some overalls and comfortable shoes and gone out and look for them, with military protection of course, the teens might have been found much sooner, IMHO. A Rambo-like operation would not have given the asked for results. - How many years did it take to find Bin-Laden, if I may ask? And what preceded that operation?

Sadly as the timeline of events unfold we can always look back and see the mistakes. The reality is bureaucracy kicks in and prevents speedy action. I guess there is always a good reason for bureaucracy but we need to be aware that it sometimes costs lives. I can imagine how the parents felt . I can imagine how any of us would feel when hampered for some pettifogging reason when faced with a situation of life and death of a loved one.

How could they say this to their poor parents??
