In the real world, there is no such concept as "deterrence." No human can prevent another human from doing what ever they want no matter how brutal that first human is. In fact brutality actually INCREASES the probability of danger. Any Israeli that thinks they can brutalize their way to comfort is completely delusional. That is just not how humans behave. Brutality just causes more brutality, but some bullies never learn that until they are severely beaten. Since Israeli brutality has NOT worked for 65+ years, maybe it is time to figure out another way. Maybe the delusional Israeli dreams have to end and reality dealt with in a rational manner. In the long term, Israel can not brutalize its way to peace - it has never worked for thousands of years and will not work now.

I propose Israel set off loud overhead percussion charges at odd hours and intervals during the night over Gaza to drive home to Gazans that rockets are not a great idea. it might even impress Hamas as they will lose sleep over this matter.

Bennett is absolutely right. Israel's greatest strength is deterrence. Weakness in the face of internal and external aggressions erodes deterrence.

You know nothing about deterrence. It is not about brutality. It is about superior power that deters others from trying to attack a country. No country dares attack China or Russia or USA because of deterrence. No country in the Middle East or in the world dares attack Israel because of deterrence. However, impotence in the face of external aggressions can erode deterrence.

With your comment at number 3 you have lost all credibility. Deterrence is the only thing thar stops countries from unilaterally achiving thier sole interest. Financial, Political (social power), and Military deterrences are the tools humans use to achieve peace you moron, not the opposite.

Israel need merely cut off all lunatic support and cooperation with fictional Palestine; and it would soon collapse. That would be a huge step towards peace. Israel could than assist "palestinians" to leave our land in vast numbers.
