2. If it comes to real war
Arpachshad ,   USA   (07.08.14)
If it comes to real war,Israel should not be too confidently to win the war, because in the end Israel will be surprised to get a big defeat.
3. "islam"-"hamas" and Israel/Middle-East
Sjoerd van der Velde ,   Hoorn, Holland   (07.08.14)
Mr. B. Netanyahu has said it well. End the existence of "islam"-"hamas" and of the rest of the present, entire "islam"-world caliphate, for security and peace. ISRAEL IS VICTORY, VICTORY ALSO IS ISRAEL! MAY G.D BLESS THE JEWISH, ISRAELI PEOPLE, ZIONISM, JUDAISM AND ISRAEL (, too)!

5. Is THIS what Hamas wanted to export to the West Bank?
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (07.08.14)
From a morally, spiritually and economically bankrupted and corrupt gang of criminals PA MUST tell Gazans who feel desperately betrayed by Hamas that we share their pain..but we also have to share the facts Lets tell Gaza LIKE IT IS Hamas - one of the most criminally corrupt, violent and inept gang of terrorist the world has seen that is controlling Gaza today...Can you imagine even amid this poverty - A whole cabal of of Millionaires living amongst dire hopelessness. Millions spent on Rockets, Bunkers and Hand Outs and virtually NOTHING on Medical Care and Education That Gaza today without Hamas and a Non Agression Pact with Israel would be better off to the tune of $7 - 16 billion Lets get the facts to Gaza by Radio TV Social Media and Leaflet Drops .............and let the people of Gaza decide

8. To: Facebook Nada Husseini
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.08.14)
The "palestinians" should have taken the deal in 1947. But they chose to go to war instead. And lost. Boo hoo hoo. Cry me a river, why don't you? There's no putting toothpaste back into the tube. In the meantime, shut up and count your blessings that Israel won't let anything happen to Jordan. Did you think you could count on the United States and NATO? LOL! Israel is the only country looking out for Jordan's interest. You ought to be spending your time expressing a great deal of gratitude. Because, if Israel so chooses, Jordan will disappear. Count on it. We've humiliated your tacky little country several times in the past, and will not hesitate to do so again, should it serve our purpose. Do keep that in mind. You would also do well to keep in mind that "Jordan" is an invented country that takes up land promised to the Jewish people via the Treaty of San Remo. Whatever will you do should we decide to take back what is ours?
9. yaalon is the right man
geroge   (07.08.14)
controlled escalation is how one loses war whether in viet nam or the hezboolah. Dealing a blow to hamas is not a proper war goal. It is grey like that used by peretz and halutz in the hezbollah war. It has no place in war goals. Abetter goal is to destroy most of hama rockets, empty their fuel supply, distrupt their electricity and waterworks, eliminate the top echelon of hanieyeh(he needs to go to allah and fast). Decisive and overwhelming force needs to be used. Nonetheless, Yaalon is the right man and he will ensure gantz carries out orders). Leiberman splitting off from likud is good whatever the reason. Deep down bibi is not in league with herzog, an absolute pacifist who is dumb as olmert was when it comes to combat and judging arabs-dumb like bloody hell. Lapid and livni along wiht bibi bear responsbibility for the terror agains the arab boy by their lack of response. In particular, lapid is quite stupid in security matters. In this , he is similar to his father tommy, a lousy mk olmert asskisser.
10. No country, no sovereign country will permit a neighboring
N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.08.14)
territory to be the base form which, day-in-and-day-out rockets, mortars and missiles are fired at its citizens, and not respond, and harshly. Indeed, if it were the US, Russia, China or any other superpower, Gaza would be totally leveled. The State of Israel, a tiny country whose all defensive interest is to ensure the country's sovereignty and the lives of its citizens, has acted after a long period of pleading with the internationally designated Hamas organization to cease the firing of rockets and missiles at its citizens. Peace loving people ought to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the liberal-democratic and sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, the State of Israel, and demand of the Islamists in Gaza to cease its fire at once. Sadly, instead of doing so, some of the "peace loving" and "progressive" people, here and elsewhere, choose to blame the Jews, again, for not bowing down to the Hamas's demand and go to the "slaughter house" without resistance. We, Jews, say: Never Again!!
11. Bibi: DO NOT GO INTO GAZA for a week! Elohim may solve the
Rivkah   (07.08.14)
Gaza problem for you with fire and brimstone in His arsenal in the heavens stored up for the last days of Gentile world rule! Read Zephaniah and see that every Gazan will die from the fire and brimstone from Elohim AND there will be no buildings left standing. Then Gaza will be a sheepfold during the Millenium reign of Yahosua ha Mashiach.
12. Only ground invasion can stop rockets
Tomi Weiss ,   Israel/Serbia   (07.08.14)
Everyone knows that and our leaders are pretending not to know this. We are again back to 2012 and to 2008, unlike Judea and Samaria where we did it once and forever through magnificent operation Defensive Shield, and because defensive shield we dont have rockets from this areas. Stop the show and start with invasion NOW!
13. He probably counts on good souls and humanity of Hamas, becam
ab   (07.08.14)
like an arab honcho throwing slogans. What result has IDF achieved ? Zero, zilch, nada ,its over the top concern for lives and limbs of Gaza denizens supporting Hamas caused lots of holes in empty fields. When once by happenstance 7 goons got killed ,IDF screamed " We didn't target them !!!" Pathetic and sad. Iran must be laughing-" And these guyes are threatening us,heeeheehheeh "
14. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
Giddy   (07.08.14)
15. "Will" it pay the heavy price only after Tel Aviv gets hit?
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.08.14)
So maybe they should hit it already. Will the Tel Avivians then run off to Gaza? Not a bad actually.
16. BiBi, keep going until all is finished
CJK   (07.08.14)
hamas thought they were big boys with big toys who could defeat the sovereign jewish state. it is time to learn a lesson.
17. above
moishe   (07.08.14)
Israel should invite West Allies to partake in Gaza military exercise. good training for future conflicts with Islam extremists. this time will not solve Israel problem with Hamas, unfortunately.
18. Hamas must unconditionally surrender!!
Ben S ,   Free world   (07.08.14)
Hamas must give up their missiles and unconditionally surrender before this ends. It's now or never.
19. 40000 is a lot of manpower
Juha Teuvonnen ,   Boston, MA   (07.08.14)
40000 men means roughly 10 brigades in a garden variety western army. Or four Eastern block divisions. In any event, it's a lot of manpower. Looks like Hamas got more than they bargained for. Should Israel choose to ignore hysteria in western media and get serious about dealing with Gaza, Hamas will be in a world of hurt. They brought it upon themselves with their rocket attacks, so let them suffer the consequences.
20. Hamas will NEVER send a rocket at Tel Aviv
(07.08.14)
Never. And you know why.
21. 2007, 2008/09, 2012...2014: History repeats?
J ,   Tel Aviv   (07.08.14)
What will be different this time than more dead Israeli soldiers and hundreds of dead Palestinians for Hamas to parade to the world media? How can our dear leaders make promises to clean the Gaza strip when they've failed every time before? Are we all insane? Maybe it's time for an alternative solution? (At the same time, Hamas really deserves it but we know who will pay the price.)
22. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.08.14)
Well, it's come to real war on six occasions. The Arabs were the aggressor in all six; Israel emerged victorious in all six. The only real question is how many "palestinians" are going to die because Hamas thinks that rhetoric wins wars?
23. To: Geroge at No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.08.14)
40,000 reservists called up is not a minor escalation. Hamas is finished. They don't realize it yet, but they are. Game over. Biggest regional loser? Hezbollah. Wait and see.
24. #FinishTheJob
Joey ,   ...not yet in Israel   (07.08.14)
looks like Bibi finally grew something between his legs, took awhile but i guess it's better late than never. May G-D bless Israel and the IDF. #FinishTheJob
25. #11 Rivka luv take your meds dear
Avi   (07.08.14)
26. Gaza operation
Oleg ,   Canada   (07.08.14)
I believe Israel needs to eradicate Hamas. This could be done in a day or 2. It's just a militia, not a regular Army. If Bibi doesn't know what needs to be done, he would need to go to Moscow and get some lessons from Mr. Putin.
27. #2
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (07.08.14)
The real suprise would be if you stumblebums won a war. Why don't you leave the Great Satan and go and help your idiot brothers?
28. When Obama calls.................
Ben ,   USA   (07.08.14)
When Obama calls Bibi please tell him he's busy, and there's a war going on. Bibi will call back when he and the IDF are done.
29. Rivka, Dear,
Israelit ,   Israel   (07.08.14)
Inhale deeply, then exhale all the bad air. Then take your meds. you'll feel better again, soon. I promise.
30. To our soldiers
Israelit ,   Israel   (07.08.14)
My prayers and well wishes for your safety are with you. Come home to your families safely. And Hamas? I have more respect for what can be scraped off the bottom of my paddock boots. I spit on you.
