Your comments are sad. The Rabbi has only recounted what one can call strength of faith. While it is true that most of the IDF aren't religious and that the biggest backer of Israel is the US, it still leaves a lot of room for faith. As for your comment on Haredim not working, please read some of Rabbi Brackman's earlier articles. He has spoken about the necessity of working for the Haredim; he has also mentioned his own family where he expects his children to be able to work basis the education being imparted to them

in Israel in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles . Real miracles witnessed by non-religious Jews happened on Israel's fields. Avigdor Kahalani,one of the greatest heroes of the Yom Kippur war said that it was a miracle that saved Israel. See the movie :Israel an eternal miracle.
