1. IDF should drop pamphlets telling the Gazans that...

... Hamas and other terror group leadership is HIDING underground - while they, the civilians, are taking the heat! The civilians should drag these 'brave' militants outside to join in the'fun'....
2. Israel must do an 'Iraq' in Gaza.
David ,   Hartford USA   (07.16.14)
Go in, remove Hamas, hold elections with only non-sociopathic parties, strengthen that elected administration, and leave. The people of Gaza know how to live like human beings when the Hamas psychopaths aren't around. Gaza could become the Riviera of the region, if only Islamist lunatics would leave it alone.
3. How can Hamas settle the score with 120,000 people?
Harry Wright ,   UK   (07.16.14)
Seems like the Gazans have not yet learnt that there is safety in numbers. Or perhaps there is another explanation. Perhaps they are willingly challenging Israel, confident that it will not have the guts to fire on them. Mostly likely they are staunch supporters of Hamas' creed and have full confidence in them to the extent that they will risk their lives in support. They have been brainwashed to believe that it is noble to sacrifice their lives and become martyrs for the cause. Who knows, maybe they will get a street named after them. That is glorious for them and you can't take away that dream from them. I am surprised that Israel's military is surprised at the dismissal of the warnings by the Gazans.

pity that ordinary Gaza civilians must suffer because of a few Hamas crazies!
7. Good article....

Thanks Captain Obvious.....
8. Civilian Support for Hamas
Jesus Rabinowitz ,   NY, US   (07.19.14)
Perhaps the non-combatants remained in N. Gaza after the leaflets because they in fact support Hamas. I believe this to be likely in view of Islamic doctrine and Arab culture. I believe the Muslim-Arab community be be highly cohesive, to the extent that they willingly serve as shields, based on the odd chance that in dying/martyrdom they will achieve paradise.
9. Why not call a Palestinian election then?
(07.20.14)
It's long overdue.
