Chance that Hamas agrees to terms is 1 on a 1000.000 and politically this will be a good move,however as it's happened in Lebanon no one was able to disarm Hezbollah, no one will disarm Hams or illusion on it.

Since the beginning of time, the jews have been persecuted and chased, murdered and compromised. The state of Israel has already been paid for with the blood of 6 million souls and the survivors who made it in 1948 and their offspring to date. We have to consider a truly amazing thing here! How the hell have we survived so far? Pogroms. Purim, the holocaust the intifada.the list goes on. We have one element that is not being brought into the foray of media frenzy. We have as many Diasporic Jews as there are in Israel willing to support it from the outside. Yes we will pay in blood! there is no other price that non-jews anywhere has ever and will ever accept from us! We must do what is against our moral code against our very nature as we are in a fight not for peace. Who ever believes there will be peace so long as there is 1 living muslim and 1 living jew is deluded. We are fighting for our very survival and we now have the means the will the capability and the intent to show the world that we are not to be bullied anymore by anyone. So Long as there are rockets flying we have the obligation to ensure that not 1 life was lost in vain for that little patch of dirt which is ours! So I'm sorry Dror Yemeni we absolutely cannot accept Hamas terms or any other militant groups terms. We are not going again like lambs to the slaughter house. We are united and resourced will do what must be done. Here is a question for you? who has made sure that we have survived all this time if not for Hashem? Seriously If you can't see that something bigger than us is at play here you're in denial! Call it god call it the force call it what you like.. we have survived beyond any other civilisation under threat for the longest time with the least resources. This is Gods greatest miracle if ever there was and its time we all sat up and took some notice. I have no other logical explanation. Sure we know how we survived but not why! We are fighting for everything we stand for as the moral custodians of the planet and it people. We must have been chosen. So now as good children we must not disappoint our parents we have to fight and preserve what we have built. no more second temples. Israel is our third temple and nobody is taking it away from us without us fighting to keep it with every fibre within our beings! We have already shown that the diasporic jews are prepared to pay with their lives too in this battle so its clear we are united. Israel is going to trust NATO to provide security? Isn't NATO the bastard son of the UN? Look how great the UN has performed in the mideast. For that matter, what good is NATOP these days? I do not want to argue for against this proposition but rather about the simple fact that international forces have consistently shown themselves to be anti-Israel, ie, in the south of Lebanon. Let Israel select the force and then discuss

Resolution 1701 ended the Lebanese -Israel war with the UN having troops to monitor that Hezbollah does not rearm itself. How has that worked out ? I rest my case.

Okay, it's worth another try. Still, it's unlikely Hamas will go for it. This war is good for them. You see they win because Israel will look bad for fighting back against Hamas in Gaza civilian areas. People are working up the legal war/war crimes charges against Israel, even though it's as clear as day Israel is trying to keep down the number of Palestinian Gaza people killed by the fighting. There is a propaganda war going on, and not since 1973 has Israel been on the winning side of it, except in some media markets, and most fortunately in the U.S. The Arab and Moslem side has the petrodollars behind it, and the pressure of supporters overseas in Europe and the Americas, so Israel has a fine line to move over. For now Israel, negotiate, but self-defense, even fight as needed.

When Israel pulled out of Gaza there was an assumption that hamas/PA would begin to build an economy. There was no blockade. That came later when hamas kicked out the PA. The destruction of Israel is in the hamas charter. They will never accept a disarmament nor will they accept a cease fire as long as they think they are winning this war. Israel should empty its prisons into Gaza and fire cheap rockets, cut all supplies in and only when they are staring down a national defeat will there be a cease fire. That seems to be a long hard way off. Simply giving into hamas gets you nothing but further demands.

Yemini's approach is worth thinking about: surrender to an organization dedicated to your extermination in return for International guarantees to protect you from the very countries who have been preventing you from fighting to win. Considering the value of past international guarantees (like the surrender to Hezbollah), what could possibly go wrong?

Can't Turkey send soldiers to patrol Gaza border and put cameras and sensors to record who attacks who first? What is the point of Erdogan wanting Israel to stop its murder campaigns when he isn't even able to give a proposition. If Jews don't accept it they would clearly be exposed as liars and instigators of each and every future war. Put Turkish soldiers in Gaza, install surveillance so everything can be recorded and handed over to international community as proof, instead of just hearing the predictable Jew narratives of Hamas being the culprit of this and that. Gazans would welcome it, its Jews who wouldn't because Jews are the criminals.

As expected the Hamas chief has flately rejected today any idea of demilitarization in exchange for any cease fire. How could he do otherwise given that his theocratic & despotic regime can survive only by the power & unrestricted use of military weapons. You didn't build the state of Israel by accepting surrender terms from Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. So, why start now? Kill every last one of the terrorist scumbags. All you critics of this article, what are your suggestions? It's the easiest thing in the world to say "No"! Would you sanction the mounting death toll of soldiers and civilians "until the job's done". And we'll be talking about thousands of lives - Arabs and Israelis together. At the end of the day, we'll still have to sit down and talk. And any multilateral force would have to include Israeli participation. I would be the first to vote against a bunch of UN "soldiers" safeguarding Israel's security.
