1. A letter to a friend in the settlements
Naser ,   Jerusalem   (07.25.14)
Hello Moshe, the truth is you are used to being right all the time, you are taught that the world hates you and that the Palestinians were invented just to persecute you. But the truth is Palestinians only want to live in freedom and peace, ofcourse you hear of extremists calling for killing innocent israelis but that doesn't represent all the Palestinians, Moshe. Your media only shows you negative things about Palestinians, nourishing the fear the government has instilled in you since a young age. You occupy the West Bank and continue to expand your settlements on lands that you say will be a Palestinian state. Is that fair? Farah renounced on violence and what does it get? A continued occupation, with checkpoints and humiliation, settlements expansion, price tag attacks with impunity. So, why dont you start by retreating to 1967 borders and make peace with the Palestinians which will pave way to peace with the rest of the arab world later on in time. Even if you manage to neutralize hamas's arsenal, this won't solve the problem because as long as Palestinians feel they live in injustice, thy will keep resisting.
2. Perhaps she'll listen to Ban Ki-moon
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (07.25.14)
Yesterday,24/7/14,agonising on this situation Ban said; "I am telling to the parties – both Israelis and Hamas, Palestinians, that it is morally wrong to kill your own people......." Now I'm not aware that Israelis are being killed by Israel. In fact I'm quite sure that they are not.So just who is killing their own people?Hamas. Maybe Ban knows something that the rest of us don't know. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
3. No use
Aaron ,   Toronto,Canada   (07.25.14)
Good article but unfortunately too late for this Muslim generation as they've been brainwashed by these terrorists and worldwide lies shown on tv such as al-jesira and CNN,bbc etc. The only way to change is to eliminate the UN and set a democratic style UN with western democratic countries.
4. Make It Worthwhile, Spell it Out
emanon ,   USA   (07.25.14)
Spell it out for the people of Gaza: so much rice for every firearm turn over. So many litres of petrol for every kilo of explosives handed in. So much food for your livestock for every 100 rounds of ammunition. So much grain to plant for each mortar shell and a new house for every rocket you turn in or destroy. It could work, you know.

All muslims may not want to kill Jews, but most do. And more importantly, their leaders do. Palestinians do want to live in freedom and peace, as long as Israel is destroyed; this shows in your comment about the "1967 borders" which were never borders, not even armistice lines, only cease fire lines by insistence of the arabs. And they are the 1948 lines, not 1967. Hamas teaches kids to hate Jews and kill them. This shows the real desire of muslims, not your sugar-coated fakery. The only person fooled is yourself. And facts prove you wrong.
7. to be a friend
hanna ,   ramalla   (07.27.14)
an enemy to be a friend need god help --it is as written in my holy book .. but a friend to be an enemy evil is needed .. i think in this war the evil is laughing . so your letter must be to the enemy to be a friend and it needs god rule of mercy and justice .. not evil rule of killing and destroying

Thank you for your message of peace. I would like to point out a few things with your permission. We do not need the media to point out anything from you, because 20% Arabs are living among us and we can see their behaviour with our own eyes. For you living in freedom and peace, and justice, means getting rid of the Jews and the Jewish State. We have yet to see a peaceful Arab demonstration, but no, you have to throw stones, burn and destroy things, such as you destroyed the Jerusalem train rails in recent weeks to protest something or other. For you peace and freedom means listening to Al-Jazeera incitement and to your own imams preaching hatred and anti-Semitism so you can come out of your mosques after Friday prayers and throw stones and Molotov cocktails even on Temple Mount.. For you we are pigs and apes who need to be killed. I have doubts about Fatah renouncing violence, since they were seen launching rockets from Gaza during this very conflict, and Abu-Mazen does not cease to incite against Israel, even though he and other PLO leaders owe their lives to the IDF who saved them from being thrown off 18-storey buildings when Hamas violently took over Gaza. There would be no checkpoints if your people stopped trying to bring butcher knives and pipe bombs into Israel to kill as many civilians as possible or even the soldiers at the checkpoints. All the checkpoints and the wall were made necessary by the waves of terrorist attacks your people unleashed on us. There is no such thing as 1967 borders, those are the 1949 armistice lines between Jordan and Israel, and any permanent border has to be negotiated. So please come to the negotiating table and stop demanding the release of terrorists as a sign of good faith. You start giving us signs of good faith for a change. What did we get from retreating from Gaza to the 1967 borders (you might remember that Gaza was taken from Egypt, not Jordan)? We got rockets an tunnel threats, that's why the blockade, not because we want to starve Gaza. You compare price tag attacks, which I condemn, with suicide bombings? A few nasty graffiti or slashed tires equate the Dolphinarium or Park Hotel bombing? Get real, please. Nazi Germany claimed they started WWII because they found WWI peace treaties humiliating. That war left Europe in ruins, but so was most of Germany . Gaza is becoming a ruin thanks to Hamas jihadist ambitions. So get real and stop playing the humiliated victim, because your are not one. Thank you.

Lynx ,   Palestine   (07.26.14)
The author puts Hamas and ISIS/Boko because it serves his political goal and reinforces his deceitful article targetted not at his 'friend' in Gaza but the Western audience. A cheap shot. Its very simple Yemeni... Lift the siege....END THE OCCUPATION Before then we are ALL Hamas!

14. Typical Arab doublespeak for naive westerners
david rosen ,   tel aviv   (07.27.14)
"We want to live in freedom and peace" - Israel should be destroyed and then there will be peace That's laughable after Hamas won the elections. We just discovered a network of tunnels and documentation in which Hamas was planning a mega-attack that would kill thousands
15. Zionism, invasion of Palestine, gave rise to Muslim Terror
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (07.26.14)
...and continued land theft in West Bank, Gaza concentration camp, and Israel's bloody "Clean Break" policy, to split Sunni, Shia, in Iraq, Syria, perpetuates global terror, putting Jews, and Christians, and Muslims in danger. What will be the penalty for these crimes? Another Holocaust, another expulsion.
16. Blaming Gazans, like blaming Warsaw Ghetto Jews for dying
