But if the electric goes off in Gaza it will be a very difficult thing to continue firing rockets at Israel and also light and ventilate the tunnels, and also continue to feed the population. Humanitarian needs of Gazans seem to outweigh humanitarian needs for Israelis because Israel could have done this a week ago. However it is muddy thinking to believe that prolonging this conflict will somehow ameliorate humanitarian issues for both side. Shut down the electric supply and the conflict will cease and so will the suffering on both sides
