Without this Israel-Gaza war, there would be a citizen death toll.
3. Justified war?
Ibrahim Ibn Yusuf ,   Rosario, Argentina   (07.29.14)
In a justified war, the Israeli Jews are prepared to sustain casualties in the order of the thousands. However, the current war isn't justified. Israel started it by cracking down on Hamas in the West Bank and abducting 500 Hamas members who had nothing to do with the killing of three teens the IDF was allegedly responding to. It was only after that act of war that Hamas began to fire its imprecise rockets. The war being unjustified, the public is not prepared to sustain casualties. They would be fine with 5, 6 or maybe even 10 soldiers killed. But 50 is already intolerable, and when the number hits 100 Israel will have to retreat from the Strip, as it has so many times done in former invasions of Lebanon and Gaza. That, and not any moral considerations, is why Israel never "gets the job finished."

his own people. He is a traitor to this great nation to the ones who have either voted for him or not. I hope and pray to see America under better days with its full brain capacity.
5. 50 dead?!!!

That IS the price of freedom (a sad but true reality), and every one of these brave warriors understood that! The waffling by Netanyahu and his cabinet does a disservice to the memories of those who sacrificed so much. They were willing as are the living to give all...if that's the price that must be given, so that their children can live free and without the threat of the tyranny of Islam hanging over their heads at every turn of life. STOP IT NOW: the taking of the moral high-ground with these sub-human animals; this nice sentiment does not apply to them; so, Israel's is free to do what must be done: carpet-bomb this trash into the Stone-Age! Send, in mass, all military capabilities to clean-up! Screw Obamanutless and his anti-Semitic cronies...and, the UN terrorist-loving organization. When is Netanyahu going to grow-up and understand that one cannot reason with an evil entity that is determined for their destruction? It should be Israel first...world opinion dead-last! Israeli leadership: wake-up to this brave-new world...where only the strong survive. The Israelis' are a brave, honorable people, and they want peace, a worthy sentiment (not all so wish); however, as the old adage says: "to have peace...prepare for war." God bless Israel and His Jerusalem!!! A Christian Zionist
6. The right thing to do
PS ,   Tulsa, USA   (07.29.14)
is not always the easy thing to do. I know Israel's leadership didn't want to go to war. They just wanted to destroy the enemy's abilities. Unfortunately Israel has an enemy that isn't rolling over. Sometimes I believe Israel's enemies have supernaturally hard hearts in order to force Israel to destroy them. I can think of many times this has happened since the great Exodus.
7. death of soldiers
steve   (07.29.14)
nor did they plan that 20% of those who died were killed inside Israel. Knowing the tunnel that led to the deaths of 4 yesterday and leaving that tunnel, was a terrible error.
8. This dude's middle name is 'wrong again'
Jhan   (07.29.14)
But the Ynet is solidly behind him I wonder why? What are this dude's accomplishments exactly besides always being wrong on each and every issue?
9. Will the day ever come when Nahum Barnea will have a kind
