1. Here is an idea, how about hamas stop shooting rockets
Michael   (07.30.14)
no one is forcing hamas to shoot rockets.
2. No Where To Go Hmmmm
(07.30.14)
To bad the JIHADIST elected government should have thought about that before they fired 1000"s of missiles, rockets and mortars, As The Saying Goes you reap what you sow!!! Alls Fair In Love And War!!!
3. for the good of their people hamass should surrenderr
DOV ,   USA   (07.30.14)
4. The Reuters report
Moshe ,   Israel   (07.30.14)
It does not present the IDF spokesman's response to the incident. It might be caused from a mishap in targeting, either by Hhamas or an Israeli force. In both cases it is an event which happens during wars, and the criticism should be directed to the terrorists who have engendered this conflict. If it was hit by DF unit because the Islamic militants were shooting from there, then Israel is justified by the maxim "better bad than dead".
5. How dare the UN say 'enough is enough' when
George   (07.30.14)
the 3 holy Israeli soldiers were booby-trapped in a UN Clinic in Gaza. Israel should retaliate by destroying all UN rocket infested schools and clinics.
6. "Accountability and Justice"
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.30.14)
Take it up with Hamas. They're the ones who chose to stockpile missiles and mortars in UNRWA schools. In so doing, they turned those schools into legitimate military targets. Israel is a sovereign state. It has an absolute right and unequivocal affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens and its territorial integrity. And that right and duty extends to destroying an edifice used to cache weapons which are used to attack Israel and its citizens. No matter how many people are using the school as shelter. The rights of a sovereign state to defend its citizens against attack trumps all.
7. Ban is right, enough is enough
David ,   Montreal,Canada   (07.31.14)
Hamas has to stop firing on Israelis sleeping children, and use human sheild. Ban, if you don't understand, Israel fanaly understood !
8. So, that being said....were the Jews supposed to run into
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (07.31.14)
the Gaza Strip to keep from being hit by Palestinian rocket fire as well. Or do they matter in your little scheme of things? The UN should have had the cement that was used to build tunnels and their schools...I mean weapons depots...used for bomb shelters instead.
9. Gaza is too Crowded?
Jake ,   Haifa   (07.30.14)
Then maybe they should't be using up the space they have for rocket launchers. No place to go? Then maybe they should restrict Hamas firing positions to only half the territory. No country will allow them in? Then maybe the UN should organize some boats to take them to Libya, which is practically empty. Plenty of solutions besides for the one they always pick - that Israel should commit suicide. They just have to think a bit harder at the UN. That is all.
10. Eliasson is justifying human shields
Sidney ,   USA   (07.30.14)
He says that Gazans have no place to go. Therefore when Hamas fires at Israel from among them, Israel has no right to fire back. Why doesn't the UN condemn the real source of these deaths, Hamas? But then again, does anyone believe that the UN didn't know that its facilities were being used by Hamas?
11. Yes "enough is enough"
Ben S ,   Free World   (07.30.14)
Much too many missiles being stored in U.N. locations. Enough is enough.
12. UN says enough is enough
(07.30.14)
But Muhamad Deif and Mashaal say that they and their fighters view death as a religious duty and will fight until they kill all the Jews. So it means that as long as Hamas uses civilian locations for military purposes, innocents will die. The reason Hamas uses the civilian locations is because it is worth it: every dead civilian, especially dead baby, is a Hamas victory that delegitimizes Israel. If UN cared about civilians, they would clearly and loudly blame Hamas for the deaths.
13. Hysteria of the Usefull Idiot UN !.
Arn. ,   Sweden   (07.31.14)
14. How pleasing to view that gutted mosque & toppled minaret
Cameron ,   USA   (07.31.14)
Supremely fitting. That is, after all, where it all began.
15. Mr.Ban,Syrian accountability first ? Mm.ah Mm .
Roland ,   london England   (07.31.14)
16. 10
Birdi ,   Israel   (07.31.14)
Why? simple, because the UN has become muslimified. Israel has always been treated like the under dog, Israel will always get the heat, whether she is guilty or not. Thats why.
17. 3
Birdi ,   Israel   (07.31.14)
Hamas does not believe in the good of their people. It never did & it never will.
18. enough of what???????????
Calibi ,   Sydney Aust   (07.31.14)
Sensible and logical in human terms enough is enough means there must be a solution to stop the death? Right? What puzzle the mind of logic is actually all empty talk! Nobody actually wants a solution except Israel. The world 5b people live in fear with a simplistic idea that to please 800,000,000 muslim around the world is easier than to see a nation of Israel 6,000,000 have full legitimate right to exist & defend herself. The media & journalist just love the money, selling life war show and sensation to the addicted society wanting to believe Israel is evil. Who (journalist) dare to sincerely condemn terrorist killing Jews in Gaza and survive for long in M/E? Who (journalist) fear Israel & Jews for telling a lie or one sided anti - Israel reports? Everyone is cashing in for their own benefits in this violent world and religion of wiping out the Jewish race! UN is playing hypocrisy rather than being a real peacemaker. There is no real peace or truly anyone wanted peace except Israel. Talking about history of Israel even religions denied biblical right except Islam. So what is enough? Wipe Israel off the map? Recreating history by destroying Israel & take over Jerusalem? May God protect the right of Israel.
19. The British bombed churches in WWII
Susan ,   Kfar Saba   (07.31.14)
My husband's parents were from Libya. His mom told me that their house was across the street from a church. The British bombed it because the Nazis were keeping weapons there. Their house was damaged in the process. Civilian buildings become targets if they are used in the war.
20. Nowhere to flee
Raphael ,   Netanya   (07.31.14)
Sinai is 3 times larger than Israel. It is UN's task to provide tents, but they share Hamas' agenda: exhibiting corpses.
21. It's actually pretty easy
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.31.14)
Don't fire missiles into Israel, and you won't get bombed. Don't store weapons in mosques, schools and hospitals, and you won't get bombed. I am tired of repeating this: any mosque, school, hospital, apartment building or anything else, if used as a weapons storage area becomes de jure a legitimate military target. The fact that Gaza's so-called "leadership" is hiding out in Qatar, living a luxurious lifestyle, is no bar to Israel's affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens and its territorial integrity -- hello; can you spell "tunnels?" Hamas is responsible for each and every death in Gaza. Gaza is extraordinarily fortunate that Israelis are humanitarian. Does anyone doubt that Israel can destroy Gaza -- root, branch and whatever scum that passes for human beings -- in a matter of hours? Yet, Israel has chosen not to do that. Can we? Oh yeah. We can. Easily. Hamas are the real criminals. Go after them. In the meantime, Israel has international statute on its side. Weapons used against Israeli civilians stockpiled in mosques, schools, hospitals or anywhere else are legitimate military targets. If the people of Gaza choose to seek refuge in those mosques, schools, hospitals or anywhere else -- oh well. They voted for their "leadership," did they not? For better or for worse. They voted for "worse." Except it well get considerably more worse. Their choice. Not ours. Israel is merely responding to a significant and very real military threat. Sovereign states have that right. Terrorists do not. Black letter law.
22. if the world is concerned about the
Michael   (07.31.14)
Gazans . Then have open immigration to Korea and Europe and let the civilians leave. Egypt should let them into Sinai. Its 100 times the size and not many people live there.
