1. Stomach bigger than their brains
Benji ,   US   (08.03.14)
Next they'll be throwing shoes and stoning their own building. Jordan's treatment of Palestinians is nothing to brag about. These slackers should do something about that.
2. If Jordan turns against Israel and joins Lebanon in a Psalms
Rivkah   (08.03.14)
Psalms 83 war on Israel, all the Hashemite princes in Jordan will die. So send one of the Princes, perhaps a son of Queen Noor into exile to establish a throne in exile if that happens according to Holy Scripture prophesies.
3. Doormat advertising
Ezra ,   USA   (08.03.14)
Just advertising that Israel is a force to be acknowledged in their lives. More drama.
4. non-violent protest?
Sean Green ,   pasadena USA   (08.03.14)
Not strapping bombs to their kids for vengeance? Jordan is really becoming nation of sane people these days. Kudos to them. I mean I still disagree, but this is rational protest rather than calls for murder.
5. Compassion
Erin ,   USA   (08.03.14)
I guess it's nice to see Jordan have compassion, but I'm having trouble wiping out of my memory the killing of Palestinian civilians in Jordan after the PLO hijacked three planes and destroyed them. I guess I don't understand where the Middle East stands with the PLO and where they stand with Hamas because the PLO Ambassador to the U.S. said Friday Hamas would come into 'alignment ' with the PLO and behave civilly. I am really confused as to who feels what about whom. I'm upset that Hamas would not negotiate despite all the calls to meet at the negotiation table three weeks ago before all these people died (on both sides) so I'm really not sure how to feel about everything I see because no one seems to be making Hamas stop. They have to stop. Who cares so much about Palestinians that they would make Hamas stop? That's really my question. I'm glad Jordan is supporting the Palestinians. It's really nice. Not necessarily the standing on a flag, but maybe someday this kind of docile support will be displayed in a way that really makes the Palestinians feel cared for and is heart-warming. Like sending them care packages. For poor people this is everything sometimes. I'm wanting to know who is going to make Hamas stop because it looks like no one is. The people in Gaza are never going to have a chance to freely live if Hamas does not stop its terrorist activities. So I am concerned about that. Can Jordan make Hamas stop? If they could, will they do it soon? When will Hamas stop? I'm sure that's what all their victims are saying... when will Hamas stop? I agree. When will they [Hamas] stop? Thanks Jordan for letting us hear your voice in a docile way, but please do more to love on Palestine please. Broker a cease fire. Thank you.
6. Israel’s Peculiar Position
Eric Hoffer,1968   (08.03.14)
by Eric Hoffer May 26, 1968 The Jews are a peculiar people: things permitted to other nations are forbidden to the Jews. Other nations drive out thousands, even millions of people, and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it, Poland and Czechoslovakia did it. Turkey threw out a million Greeks and Algeria a million Frenchman. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese and no one says a word about refugees. But in the case of Israel displaced Arabs have become eternal refugees. Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single Arab. Arnold Toynbee calls the displacement of the Arabs an atrocity greater than any committed by the Nazis. Other nations when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious, it must sue for peace. Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world. Other nations — when they are defeated — survive and recover, but should Israel be defeated it would be destroyed. Had Nasser triumphed last June he would have wiped Israel off the map and no one would have lifted a finger to save the Jews. No commitment to the Jews by any government, including our own, is worth the paper it is written on. There is a cry of outrage all over the world when people die in Vietnam or when two Negroes are executed in Rhodesia. But when Hitler slaughtered Jews no one remonstrated with him. The Swedes, who are ready to break off diplomatic relations with America because of what we did in Vietnam, did not let out a peep when Hitler was slaughtering Jews. They sent Hitler choice iron ore and ball bearings, and serviced his troop trains to Norway. The Jews are alone in the world. If Israel survives it will be solely because of Jewish efforts. And Jewish resources. Yet at this moment Israel is our only reliable and unconditional ally. We can rely more on Israel than Israel can rely on us. And one has only to imagine what would have happened last summer had the Arabs and their Russian backers won the war to realize how vital the survival of Israel is to American and the West in general. I have a premonition that will not leave me; as it goes with Israel so will it go with all of us. Should Israel perish the holocaust will be upon us.
7. Jordan
David   (08.03.14)
This is most likely a very isolated incident, not supported by Amman. In any case, it's sometimes worthwhile to remember that Jordan, while an ally of Israel on many occasions, is historically and fundamentally an enemy of both the Jewish and Arab Palestinian peoples.
8. Boycott Petra & No entry to Israel
NOentryToMa'anpeople ,   Jerusalem Israel   (08.03.14)
Israeli government should not anyone from that town whose residence is Maan Jordan to cross into Israeli territory in addition since most there live and make their living from Petra boycott it around the 'world and by the way where is our "friend " the King in all this ..?
9. Arabs are simply beyond rescue, so is Africa.....?!
tom ,   tel aviv   (08.03.14)
Maybe that's where they all should congregate; then we could leave them to their own devices and come back in say, 80 years to see what's left....? Just an idea.
10. It means that they are standing with Israel!
Adler   (08.03.14)
If thats not the meaning, Jordans can lkiss my ass! "Anyone who excels in defeating his enemies triumphs before his enemy's threats become real". Quoted in Chinese literature "the art of war"
11. Hamas and Jordan
Maerton ,   Kfar Vradim, Israel   (08.03.14)
The people of Jordan are a backward, lazy uneducated lot. This clearly shows in their manner too. What have they got after all those years of Independence? NOTHING except maybe a few camels and a few tourist to Petra who are bombarded by beggars. By contrast Zionist (after the hill in Jerusalem so named) Israel has everything. As they cannot even made a proper door mat themselves they had to use an Israeli flag, probably made in China.
12. When ISIS is slitting the throats of Jordanian kids
A ,   Belgium   (08.03.14)
while raping their mothers, and the hashemite king takes his family and cowardly runs away to England, Israel should remember this desecration of the flag by arab barbarians event. May the "palestinians" be repatriated to their state on the east bank of the Jordan river soon.
13. FUNNY SEEING HOW THESE IDIOTS WASTE
IRANIAN JEW ,   LA USA   (08.03.14)
Waste their lives trying to fight a loosing battle. They sink in their stupidity and step backwards in life just to please their mullahs in their mosques. No wonder they are always behind in every aspect of life. Look at all Muslim countries. The pattern is the same and the slowness of their progress in any field is so noticeable. They think standing on a flag is going to make any difference to us.
14. This is only one town in Jordan - possibly Muslims all.
barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (08.03.14)
Don't assume all of Jordan is feeling this way.
