2. do not put abbas in charge of raffah
zionist forever   (08.06.14)
Best option is to keep Raffah closed but if it is opened it should be under Egyptian military supervision Abbas cannot be trusted especially now he wants to have a unity government with Hamas.
3. Israel needs dedicated Nuclear Shelters

that same 'Hamas urban warfare pamphlet" was also shown on FOX News on 'outnumbered' a day or so ago. That, and two reporters documentations on Facebook, of witnessing rocket launchers from Gaza including a Norwegian reporter admitting she saw a rocket launcher near a school, who famously said, "don't use my report your your propaganda" as she favors Hamas, plus an Indian reporter smuggling out a filmed report showing a blue tarp covered launcher in an area of a neighborhood filled with civilians an area filled with homes and kids, is the end of story for Hamas and the PA threatening to take Israel to the ICC. This is not including hundreds of other reporters who also witnessed the rocket launchers in front of their hotels. The reason more of these aren't shown is fear, the reporters fear for their lives as do the citizens of Gaza. Hang on, it's gonna be a rough ride. GO ISRAEL YOU HAVE OUR BACKS AND HEARTS!!!!

7. Peace is not on the table either.
Big bad Jew   (08.06.14)
Hope the pals can either dig deep or, swim like an Olympian. ISRAELI VICTORY, FULL VICTORY AND NOTHING ELSE. Ala Hamas death wish for the pals.
8.  Israel Hamas conflict
Steve Gure ,   Coconut Creek USA   (08.06.14)
As a strong Israel supporter who considers Israel the Answer to a home for the Jewish people I feel that Israel lost more than t the propoganda war. Their pronouncement of "Mission Accomplished" is as meaningful as that of President Bush in Iraq.. Again they have stopped short of accomplishing their mision for political reasons. The rockets were still being fired on them and I am sure that not all tunnels were destroyed. Hamas may have suffered but they were clearly not destroyed. Israel has learned nothing from their past mistakes and in the future will suffer for it.

10. Negotiating the negotiations
yitzhak ,   detroit USA   (08.06.14)
Interesting that everything Israel wants is "off the table" while everything Hamas wants is a requirement before negotiating. So, what is being negotiating??

13. "Weapons"? "Bottle rockets".
Albrecht ,   EU   (08.06.14)
Foreign Affairs: "Most of Hamas’ arsenal is comprised of homemade rockets that are decidedly incapable of inflicting mass civilian casualties, flattening apartment blocks, or causing conflagrations that consume entire cities. “Hamas’ rockets can kill people and they have,” a counter-intelligence veteran of the U.S. CIA who spent his career monitoring Israeli and Palestinian military capabilities told me recently, “but compared to what the Israelis are using, the Palestinians are firing bottle rockets.”
14. Bottle rockets
emmy ,   somewhere   (08.07.14)
Albretch, So what is the essence of your post? That Israel should continue to allow 'bottle rockets' as you call them to rain down on their country becuase according to you, it doesn't cause mass causalties? Let's not even talk about the Iranian Fajr misslies- I suppose those were bottles to you too. Maybe they should just arm all their border communities with mortars so those communities can lob over shells indiscriminately into gaza. Maybe that will assuage your sense of porportionailty!
15. Not on the table?
Ed Stack   (08.07.14)
Disarmament is not on the table. Reduction of fees to Hamas leaders is not on the table The cost of recovery is pocket change for Mashal and Hneyia. It is not on the table The only thing on the table is how Hamas leadership can become richer from the spoils of the cost of recovery
